I have little doubt this will be changed to a No-contest. I have no idea why nobody touched on it, but Joe Cortez never called time in. He motioned them together, looked towards the time keeper, at which point Floyd sucker punched Ortiz.

Gesturing the fighters together does not indicate the action is to resume, it indicates the fighters are suppose to come together, which is what Ortiz did.

Either way, it was disgusting. The first hook, okay. You got even, I can understand that. Foul for foul, but then you took it up a notch, saw that Ortiz was unaware of your intention to resume the action, and uncorked a right hand on a man who was not only unprepared, but not even looking at you.

That is not only disgusting, but dangerous.

Cortez gestures TWICE... Not once, but TWICE for the action to begin... Along with that, he says "Let's go!" that means fight...

U can tell by Ortiz reaction, he knows he ****ed up, he knows he got what he deserved, and he probably knows it was legal. That's why he's not being a crybaby about it, he's not complaining for a rematch, or anything.... He took it like a man cuz he knows he got wut he deserved

doesn't matter - floyd was shutting him out, and ortiz wasn't doing anything when he did manage to get floyd against the ropes.
