Don't think so, Mayweather has a bad habit of transitioning from the high guard defense to the philly shell defense against southpaws, if he does that, that leaves him open to Ortiz's right hook over the top. I mean, it's gonna happen, Floyd's been using that style since he was a kid, at one point he's gonna make that error. He did it against Corley, Mitchell, Judah, who is to say he isn't gonna make that mistake against Ortiz? And again, Mayweather hasn't faced a southpaw with a better right hook.

It's important that Mayweather keeps this in the middle of the ring and has Victor going backwards. That's the best way for him to neutralize Victor's offense.

But, he's going to knock Floyd out.

      Yeah.
      Different night. Different fight.

Berto planted his ass on the ropes and was content from round 8 onward to survive. The dirty little secret about that fight? The last third wasn't very good.

Also, when Ortiz pressured Berto in the first round, what did Berto do? He took a knee. The GorillaDogDragon ain't taking no damn knee. Beh-lee dat.

That's going to be a bad fighting strategy against Ortiz because the closer you're or get to Ortiz, the better he gets to throw his power punches effectively. I think Floyd might utilize that type of aggression style in between rounds in and out, but he's going to get caught if he comes out fighting that way at the opening round and continuously fight at that type of risky pace for 12 rounds.

Everybody says that you need a jab to beat Mayweather. And then they turn around and say that Castillo I is the blueprint to beat Mayweather.

Tell me if you've ever in your life listed JLC among the modern fighters with a good jab.

Shane and Zab had early success. Either of them have a good jab?

They have handspeed and power. Which is what Ortiz has.

What Mayweather need to do is to get Ortiz moving backwards. Ortiz is terrible when he is moving backwards.

Its funny to watch *****'s make so many excuses before a fight now that Fraud is finally fighting someone who's not geriatric or 4 divisions smaller.

It reveals that they've known all along that Floyd is a cherry picker so now they have to hedge their bets with ****** theories about Floyd getting old all of the sudden cuz' he's 34.

These are the same clowns that defend Baldomir, shot ass old Oscar full of coke and booze, 38 shot ass Mosley and a 38 year old fw.

Those guys were all great legit wins fitting of an ATG.

But Floyd is old at 34.

That's what I'm saying, if he has Ortiz moving backwards all night, it becomes one of his easiest fights.

Ortiz had most success against Berto when Berto was rested against the ropes, but whenever they was in the middle of the ring, Berto kept his distance and forced Ortiz to lunged in face first. Berto couldn't effectively capitalized whenever Ortiz did lunged in because he was always off balance and gassed out. I can see Floyd staying out of close range, throwing jabs at Ortiz's face and body, and wait for him to lunge in to set up his left hook.

That's only going to happen if he has Ortiz hurt enough to make him hesitate. When Berto dropped Ortiz the second time, he backed away and had that look on his face of wanted to quit again, but luckily enough he caught and dropped Berto in that same round as well with few seconds left.

i think your severly overstating "Shane and Zab had early success" thing !!!!!!!!

zab was figured out by round three (sans a good punch in round four) !!!

and mosley was nutralized by round 3!!!!

while oscar the ****** who had a good jab was still in the fight at round 6 !!!! !!!
