Cortez is sent in there to protect the money or 'Money' literally in this case so best believe Ortiz won't get the rub of the green.

Mayweather never beat Hatton, as Roach said Ricky was in that fight for 6 rounds - fighting two men. The fight would've gone a lot differently with a neutral ref.

Pacquiao is the only fighter to ever defeat Ricky legitimately.

If you want to ignore the multiple forearm/elbows that Mayweather used or the fact that the fight was instantly broken up whenever the two got into close range, go ahead. but its bs.

a competent ref like Steve Smoger would have let the two at least attempt to fight their way out, and would have warned Floyd for using his elbows.

the bending below the waist thing I dont really think is illegal. but its ****** to get on the other fighter for hitting the opponent while theyre doing that. thats not correct at all.
If one is doing something illegal and the other isn't it's not ****** at all.

Ortiz will definitely have a disadvantage with Cortez.

Garcia should be very vocal between the rounds if he sees things he doesn't like.

are you trying to say that hitting an opponent that is bent over is illegal?
          thats dumb.

We can argue all day about the specific angles his elbow could have been positioned so as not to cause injury to Ricky.

The fact of the matter is EVERYONE knew beforehand that Ricky loved to grab and hold after punching. Everyone noticed Ricky enjoyed hugging fighters in his previous fights.

Floyd used his forearm to create space between him and Ricky.

Call what you will, but he DID NOT use his elbow to strike Ricky blatantly.

Striking a fighter with the elbow is illegal in boxing and should no doubt be cause for penalty.

I have to agree. Ricky is currently in negotiations with this ... Winner take all ...

lol, gtfoh. If you hit someone in the balls accidently, its still illegal, and you can still can get points taken away. If you shove your forearms or elbows into someone elses face, even without 'malicious intent', its still illegal. If you put your elbow on someones face and push, it hurts. you dont have to wind it up or throw it for it to do damage.

and fyi, if you want to create space, you do that by positioning your forearm on the opponents chest. you dont push it into their face. particularly not the point of the elbow on their cheekbones.

Mayweather would have won that fight regardless, but lets not pretend illegal **** didnt happen when it did, or the fact that Cortez blows ass as a referee.

                  Fine, then.

Where was Team Ricky Hatton when the "illegal tactics" by Floyd were presented to the commission demanding a review of the fight, and subsequent penalties brought upon Joe Cortez?

                  Can you answer that one?

I was referring to hitting behind the head. Equating that to bending over is dumb. And lets not pretend Hatton is a clean fighter either. He hit Tszyu behind the head multiple times and hit him low. I don't see you or anybody complaining about that though.

Was Tszyu fighting two men against Hatton? Yes or no.
