Will Victor Ortiz be fighting TWO MEN in the ring: Mayweather and Cortez?

Floyd never beat Hatton. He knew he would have his work cut out if Hatton was allowed to fight his fight, so Floyd warned the ref to Hattons dirty tactics.
Cortez concentrated so much on Hatton, he didnt notice Floyds fouls. Similar to that vid where you are asked to count how many times the basketball was passed around by about 10 people. At the end of it when asked did you notice the man in the gorrilla suit, people didnt notice because they were concentrating so much on counting how many times the basketball was passed around.Comment

Nice video. It's easy to downplay subtle things like what Cortez was doing and call it sour g****s, but making a video like that is the best way to graphically illustrate just how much Cortez' actions disrupted Hatton.
I really hope Cortez doesn't pull that **** with Ortiz. Ortiz has a hard enough fight ahead of him without worrying about the ref stepping in the way.Comment

The only one's complaining about Cortez are those who lost bets on Ricky knocking Floyd out. Everyone in Hatton land knew that the only way to beat Floyd was to rough house him and fight "a little dirty" on the inside.
Cortez was given a heads up and made certain Ricky didn't try and pull ****** stunts.
People hate Cortez for that.Comment

His choice of language was in jest, but bending below the waist is illegal. It's fine with me if a referee ignores that rule, but to stop and penalize a fighter for hitting the one committing the penalty is idiotic.
It is the same as when Cortez stopped Maidana from beating up Khan because Khan was turning his back.Comment

no, not at all. Cortez was doing a horrible job in the Mayweather-Hatton fight, and I predicted a Mayweather win from the second the fight got signed.

If you want to ignore the multiple forearm/elbows that Mayweather used or the fact that the fight was instantly broken up whenever the two got into close range, go ahead. but its bs.
a competent ref like Steve Smoger would have let the two at least attempt to fight their way out, and would have warned Floyd for using his elbows.
the bending below the waist thing I dont really think is illegal. but its ****** to get on the other fighter for hitting the opponent while theyre doing that. thats not correct at all.Comment
