That's cool, I accept that. But people like you who don't think there should have been a rematch think this way because you know Lennox was getting his boots dusted down and are happy for it not happening.
This goes to anone who reads this on here:
If you don't think by the circumstances of the fight itself, Vitali's performance and how the fight ended doesn't warrant a rematch, you, yourself and nobody but you are what is wrong with boxing overall and the sport doesn't need a narrow minded fan like you.
Lewis owed him nothing. It was a great fight and a great effort by Vitaly. If a 38 year old man wants to retire on top he has every right to. He fought great fights against some great fighters for 15 years and didn't owe a thing to you, boxing or the fans. Anybody saying he does just wants a built in excuse to say Vitaly should have won and the conjecture that he would have won had they rematched. Grow up, V Klit lost fair and square.Comment

At the exact time the blood starts flowing there are both a landed overhand right and a headbutt that follows right after it. I know it was ruled a punch but Vitali surely can be forgiven for thinking it was the head that did the damage, especially when Lennox's head and face had been grinding on that side of Vitalis face for the remaining 3 rds of the fight.Vitali is a quitter a cheater and a crybaby.
He is also a liar. He claimed in the post-fight interview that the cut was caused by a headbutt. 8 years later no one can produce a single photo or video of a clear headbutt landing: intentional or unintentional. The fact that he lied to Larry merchant shows that he would do just about anything to avoid accepting a loss.
The headbutt myth was the first dubious attempt at trying to discredit the Lennox victory. Since then Vitali and fans have invented new lies and excuses as to why 31 year old Vitali lost to 37 year old glass jaw Lennox. I cant wait to see what they come up with in the future. Until then...TKO6
I see you have a soft spot on the matter by the sig that NEVER GET CHANGED, so maybe you would make sense of why Lennox didn't grant a rematch when so many fans and boxing statisticians wanted to see it. (that goes without the order from the WBC)Comment

Lol, I just glanced over that one. I got the jist, it was well thought out to say the least. YOU MUST HAVE A LOT TIED UP IN IT.A couple of FACTS regarding Vitali Klitschko's wins
- Vitali only beat Solis by landing an ILLEGAL rabbit punch to the back of Solis's head that discombobulated him and caused him to fall akwardly and injure his knee. Solis was WINNING before the fight was stopped. The crowd BOOED Vitali. Vitali still hasn't given Solis a rematch.
- Sanders was denied a LEGITIMATE knockdown in the first round of their fight which deterred him. Vitali then proceeded to hit him with a series of ILLEGAL backhands that bloodied Sanders's nose and mouth, causing him breathing difficulties and making him gas prematurely. Sanders was still on his feet at the time of the LUCKY stoppage, and would have gone on to KO Vitali had the CORRUPT referee not stepped in and called a halt to the fight.
- Danny Williams was HIT WHEN HE WAS DOWN when he fought Vitali. From that point on he was confused by the ILLEGAL punch and a sitting duck. Even so, he was denied an opportunity to win the fight when the CORRUPT referee waved him off despite getting to his feet and appearing lucid and fighting fit. Vitali also used the lacing of his glove to open a cut on Danny's nose that affected his breathing.
- Gomez was holding his own with Vitali until Vitali thumbed him and then headbutted him, causing him vision problems. Vitali had a large amount of vaseline on his hair specifically to cause this. The referee docked Vitali a point for this BLATANT breach of the rules. Vitali then hit the DEFENCELESS Gomez when his back was turned. Had he been fighting anywhere else he would have been disqualified.
- Vitali ducked Rahman for FOUR YEARS.
- Arreola was hurting Vitali who resorted to RUNNING AWAY from him the whole fight. The CORRUPT referee and cornermen prematurely stopped the fight, thus denying Arreola the chance of a last minute KO and causing him to cry like a BIG FAT GIRL. The crowd BOOED Vitali during the fight. The fact that Arnie and Sly were being shown on the screen at that very moment was just a COINCIDENCE.
- Adamek was... nah, I can't even make anything up for him.
But see how easy it is to write that crap? Give me a willing audience and they'll even believe it. Perhaps some of the more hardline Klitschko haters actually did believe some of it. Whatever. This sort of blatant nonsense and distortion of facts is what I and countless others have had to put up with for years, and every year it becomes more convoluted and more ridiculous and more inane. Five years from now who knows how this fight will be interpreted? We've already had headbutts causing the cut(s), backhands, side of the glove shots, lacing, even Lennox Lewis's braids!! I'd laugh if it wasn't so infuriatingly monotonous.
Lennox Lewis TKO 6.
Now that is a fact that can't be argued.
Please. So why didn't Lennox do the rematch again? That's right , he was a p*ssy who knew he was getting patted up again and may not land the lucky cut shot this time.
All I can say ius that at least Vitali's only losses came to an ATG by a cut only and another long time title holder and former #1 heavyweight by a freak rotator cuff tear while winning like 7 rds to 2.
That's a lot better than getting sparked while the heavyweight champ twice by a couple of bums.
Vitali will be remembered favorably as an oak. So I guess us fans can live with that.
Bye bye now.Comment

Whats really sad though...both those "bums" are better than anyone Vitaly has ever fought.

I already adressed your obsession, won't do it again, I'll just say it's easy to not call a man names to his face directly. You're a coward behind a keyboard who's been frustrated. Grow up.Comment

Yea, I don't read blue or purple writing anymore, as I know those colors are attached to two of the biggest dumb asses this website has ever spawned, like it sets them apart or makes what they write somehow unique or without a narrow minded motive. Lol.
