Clearly. I see only Pac stans in denial about that because they are desperately searching for some sort of credit to give Manny since he's done next to **** in his last three bouts. Can you imagine a prime Marquez taking those shots from Katsidis? Lord have mercy.

Since the beginning of 2008, Mayweather has only fought JMM (the fighter you are currently ****ting on) and Mosley. A man who has looked like utter ****. If you want to go off the thread topic, I'd be more worried about Mayweather's last fights than Pacquiao's.

Furthermore, the poll clearly sides with the thread topic/

I'd say Mayweather's last two opponents (Ortiz and Mosley) **** all over Pacquiao's last four. Sad. No need to cry about it though.

Pacquiao fought Mosley as well, and no Mayweather decisioning him and Sergio Mora drawing him did nothing to diminish Mosley. The fighter who showed up against Pacquiao is the same joker Mayweather fought. But once again, that was not the point of this thread.

This thread had a civilized dialogue. Typical NSB trolls however run from thread to thread spewing the same tit for tat negative bull****. It's sad how posters like yourself have ruined this forum.

More important than who is when. Fighting Mosley coming off two bad performances is a lot different than fighting one ranked in the top five pound for pound. Typical ******* bull**** - like this thread. "Please give Manny credit for fighting Marquez years too late, please!"

Nothing new here...I've seen this movie before. Fighter looks terrible against Floyd, the haters pinpoint how weak Floyd's opposition is....UNTIL....Manny decides to fight them. Then the haters start to see the silver lining and make wack threads about how JMM is all of a sudden formidable at the weight. Pick a side. If he was too small for Floyd then he's too small for Pac at this point in time. PERIOD! Now if it wasn't the size and strictly a style thrashing by Floyd then give Floyd the props for shutting out JMM who has won more rounds against Pac in their two fights.

Damn I thought I was the only one who held this opinion.

The Mosley that Pac fought was roughly the same version that Mayweather fought. In other words, both versions were shot. Watch both fights back to back, it's the same f'n guy.

Mayweather naturally deserves more credit because of how highly regarded Mosley was at the time, but lets not pretend that May's win is 10x better than Pac's, cause it's not.

Mosley was shot by the Mayorga fight. He had his one last great performance vs. Margarito (an anomoly).

                      In a nutshell.

As to the topic, great question. I was originally of the idea that the fight was credible because Floyd had been off two years, Marquez was/is a great fighter, and usually rehydrated between 141-145 whereas Floyd has never rehydrated above 149.

That said, Floyd did look bigger than he had pre-retirement. Even still, he didn't use his size to walk through Marquez, he outboxed and outthought him. I didn't get the impression that the fight would've gone much different had they been the same size.
