For the most part, 10 out of 10 boxers who fight Mayweather at WW would be convincingly outboxed by him. So with that said, how does being decisioned by Mayweather make him any different from any other welterweights? How can this be the basis to completely dismiss JMM's ability at Ww?

"He didn't look as fast or strong as he usually does against Mayweather"... Could that be b/c Mayweather is soo good that he is faster, stronger and craftier? It's possible Jmm has never looked somewhat out of sorts b/c none of his previous opponents fight Mayweather's unique style or as well as Mayweather does.

"JMM won't be able to take punches at Ww".. He took a flush power punch from Mayweather and got up exactly like he always does! Imo, while I don't expect Jmm to fight at Ww and be better than he normally is. I do not think his abilities diminish quite to the point that a lot of boxing fans might have you believe.

While Pacquiao does fill out better, he's still been a small guy fighting naturally larger guys. And when Pacquiao and JMM stand next to eachother. You're still just left with two small guys who have only their skills and abilities to tell them apart. Imo, Styles will be more the story in this fight than Size. Poll to follow, please discuss!
I think the knockdown suggests 147 is too much for him.

Counterpuncher vs. cp is never a good fight to begin with but when the other guy is 4 divisions bigger its a disaster.

Floyd should be ashamed of himself for asking for that fight and then not even bothering to meet the catchweight agreement. *****'s that always ***** about fairness never even bother bringing this part of it up.

JMM and Pac are the same size, this will be a good match.

Floyd is naturally bigger than both of them.
If Floyds a big ww then the rest are huge........

I definitely wouldn't say Floyd is a big Welter, but he's probably a full sized Welter. Floyd used to be a smaller Ww.

Jmm comes forward against other fighters, but against Pacquiao he has generally played matador to Pac's bull. It just makes sense as his counter punching is kryptonite for Pac. Cutting off the ring will be very useful for Pac if the fight plays out in a similar fashion to the last 2.

losing to Mayweather at Welterweight does not make you a **** Welterweight.

              looking like **** does.

Marquez looked sluggish on his own at 147, and his punching power would not get any respect from natural sized Welterweights. He wasnt even close to moving Mayweather with any of his shots, youd think his punches would have at least disrupted Floyd's guard, but nope.

add that in with his increasing defensive liabilities, and you have a mess if he went up against a good punching Welterweight. I hate to say it, but Marquez would probably get knocked out by someone like Berto at 147. shudder.

I think it was a combination of the weight and the fact it was Floyd.

                  We're talking about Marquez here.

That said, I believe he's too small for 147. However Mayweather completely outclassed him. I'd expect similar results regardless of weight.

                    Marquez frequently gets knocked down/wobbled.

Floyd kinda shut it down after the knockdown. Floyd easily could've knockedd him out. Obviously manny isn't going to box and move. I don't think Marquez is viable in this weight class.
