Boxing Monthly vs The Ring: UK Prison

I dont know about Boxing Monthly but here in Canada we get the Ring and it pretty much sucks, they are printed like 1 month before they hit the stands and the data is pretty old.

Theres nothing new in them but sometimes they might have good articles and their yearly Top Fighters issue is not bad where they rank each fighter.

I would get GQ/Maxim/Mens Health/Boxing Monthly (must be better than the Ring(anything else is better im assuming)

Do your prisons allow GQ/Maxim? from what SWIM told me ours only had Mens Health / Car Magazines / lame hip-hop.

So I'm likely to get ****** up in the next month or so and I'm wondering whether I should sign up for a sub to Boxing Monthly or The Ring while I'm inside and I want your thoughts.

The Ring I'm thinking has better journalism but doesn't cover UK boxing too well. If it does please correct me.

Boxing Monthly only covers the main events and doesn't cover the global scene very well focussing a lot more on the UK fight scene and UK champs. This is good in that I want to hear about the likes of Burns, Khan and Froch and how they are getting on. Also Boxing Monthl is about £20 cheaper.

For Froch Ward there will most likely be a massive cover story with interviews with Froch and Ward in the hype up for it next month.

I don't know what the Ring will do at that time. Will they still be hyped about next saturday?

Lol, really? And you know this how exacty? You're in Canada, have you spent time in the UK prison system? In the US, in any system I know of, books and magazines have to come from the publisher. But since you're the expert on prison, please do tell.
