Some people here just take the bias thing too far. Ortiz has a chance because he's very good, young, strong and Mayweather has been inactive but Mayweather isn't the favorite for nothing. Mayweather is a brilliant boxer and although Ortiz will bring it, Mayweather is expected to win. Its obvious that Ortiz is the bigger man and if he presses hard he could give Mayweather problems. Also, we all know that a good jab will negate Mayweather's speed but that **** is easier said than done. Oscar had that jab working in the beginning and stopped but he didn't stop because he got tired. He and everyone else that fights Floyd stops punching because they don't want to get countered. Again, i like Ortiz and he has a great future but Mayweather isn't Berto.

      Answer:

      Because they have no answers.

I asked a simple question and you go to talking about debating skills.

The fight that has defined Ortiz's career is the BERTO fight.

Jr. Does NOT have a career defining w w fight,,, Jr. could have a few years ago before Pac got to them,,,,COTTO, MARGO and Clottey stood out but Jr. Majorly ducked all those guys, but little Pac came up and tookem all on, dude and whupped their a$$'s

We might call you the spin-mister

But somehow according to Floyd, Pac is fighting his leftovers. Problem with that excuse is, Pac's biggest wins came against guys that Floyd has NEVER fought. Barrera, Morales, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey. In the case of Marquez, Floyd actually fought Pac's leftovers. The only common opponents that Floyd got to first was Mosley and Oscar, and Floyd hardly put a beating on either one. Outboxed them yes. Beat them up....NO..

I think Floyd haters are right. Floyd does cherrypick his fights. Floyd always fights his opponents after an impressive win. Floyd doesnt wait until another WW beats the hell out of a guy and then go fight him. He knows after they come off an impressive victory, the money will be flowing when he signs up to fight them.

As far as Ortiz goes, besides this Berto fight, I dont recall him having that great of a career. I can remember it was a time not too long ago when we were writing this boxer off, now all of a sudden he's question the legacy of FMJ. Funny. Very funny.

This fight will be a lesson. Floyd will show this young fighter how to box and not brawl. No Floyd is not the hardest puncher, not the most active, nor is always down to engage in war. But, if you love the sweet science of boxing...meaning to score on an opponent without getting hit much, Compubox stats are record setting, and making a champion looking like a chump while swinging at air, you should know what ur about to see in this fight. Ortiz has subpar skills and that defense is easy to penetrate.

I like Ortiz but i just don't understand why some people have him crushing Floyd. The only thing i can come up with is Mayweather being gone for so long and that's it. Ortiz was impressive against Berto but before that fight he had lots of doubts. Honestly, some of you guys are being bias because its not like Ortiz was on a rampage before the Berto fight and many here had doubts about how good Berto was also. Like i said before, Ortiz's size and youth and Mayweather's inactivity could make this an interesting fight but Mayweather has to be the favorite.

What World WW Champion has Pac beaten?

Cotto was NOT World WW Champion and was coming off 2 of his worst perforamces of his career much like all of Pac's recent recycled in-house selections of former chamapions (Hoya, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley). Tell me I'm wrong.... lol

                    Bottom line: @ WW
Mayweather vs "too good" Mosley > Pac vs Hoya/Cotto/Clottey/Mosley/JMM
Mayweather vs Ortiz = Pac vs Cotto

When has Pac fought a TOP WW coming off a good performace?

                    Clottey (hasn't won a fight since 2008)
                    Hoya? Floyd beat him first
Cotto? SD vs the loser Clottey, and quit vs Margarito
                    Mosley? Foyd beat him first
JMM? Floyd beat him (@ WW) first
