WHy would anyone with any ounce of common sense expect floyd to give credit to a man who was in prison while floyd was 16-21 and who beat his mother, a person floyd genuinely loves, for what he taught him from ages 3-15?

The fact remains, Sr trained Jr for 16 years and taught him the basics while Rodger refined it. This is facts. Not what "posters" say in some hate thread about Sr. Sr and Rodger are creditable for Mayweather being as great as he is. Floyd even admits this yet gives more to Rodger as he has worked with him longer.

Is it really that hard to comprehend?

FLoyd jr is most responsible. Then I would say roger. Floyd sr. simply wasn't around at a critical time in floyd's development as a man and as a fighter. The time in the amatuers and the olympics floyd sr. simply wasn't there.

Alot of pac fans/floyd haters like you always say his "0" is what means most to him. Think his dad had anything to do with the develpoment of this mentality, assuming its true. I don't recall his dad being there.

Unfortunately for all of us we can't go back in time. Floyd sr. lived how he lived and he has to suffer the consequences. In this case is his son has no resopect for him.

None of the posters on this board would respect their fathers if they lived like floyd sr. so its almost pointless to discuss it.

De la Hoya was NERVOUS and he lost his energy stamina from that. He was not relaxed in the ring. He COULD NOT PULL THE TRIGGER !!!!!! HE didn't JAB after like round 5. Mayweather intimidated De La HOYA !!!!!

Three things Ortiz must do to win :

            1. Don't Bum Rush like Hatton. Use continual smart pressure INSPITE of the ability of Jr. to FRUSTRATE.

Jr. can't knock you out unless you bumrush blind right into a fleeing check hook and I truly doubt he can KO ORTIZ even if he shut his eyes and stuck his chin out. He KO'd a bumrushing little man. Hey , hahaha,,,he couldn't KO a true featherweight, Old and fat and extremely little , JMM. haha

            2. Ortiz must JAB , JAB , JAB, if he must fight 12 rounds or two , he must stick that Jab, the more the merrier, right up his nose, Mayweather can't stand a stiff snapping Jab, makes him go into his "wait on you to make mistakes", hey he could JAB him to death , hahaha

            3. Ortiz must not stop punching like OLD MAN MOSLEY !!! OLD MOSLEY had Mayweather on ***** STREET, doing a dance called "half collaspe", you know where you are standing up but then you just collaspe straight down but catch yerself , hahaha !!!!!!! Ortiz must NOT stop punching, IF he hurts him, he needs to take it to a BRAND NEW LEVEL for Floyd, a place he has never been, new ground, deep in the trenches. He must hurt jr. again, put him on his butt, give him something to think about. You know his uncle thought alot about it, in his fight with Chavez, he was losing, his "BLUFF" wasn't working !!!!!!!! The Ali "shuffle" the round before to intimidate Chavez didn't work, so what did he do????? HE QUIT on his stool, the ref came over grabbed his head and said what are you doing boy? You QUIT, his head just hung low bobbling from the head grab of the ref.

THREE THINGS ORTIZ MUST DO and if he doesn't do all three he LOSES:

Fight thru the frustration caused by Jr. and apply massive smart pressure, never bumrush !!!!!!

Never stop Jabbing,,,gotta JAB JAB JAB

third,,never stop punching, when You LAND that KILLER PUNCH, you never stop punching like OLD MAN MOSLEY DID !!!!!

            GOOOOOOOO ORTIZ !!!!!!
Victor Ortiz does not have a solid jab to work with on someone like Mayweather. Ortiz is a power brawler who will no doubt take some leather to land some and Floyd is very accurate to the point that Vic would definitely be walking into some counter shots from Floyd. The thing about Mayweather is that a fighter cannot shake his focus or distract him from winning. No way Floyd fights his opponents fights. Ortiz is a strong fighter but homie ain't that bright to lure Mayweather into his strengths. Also, Floyd is a very versatile boxer who can switch it up and be equally effective defensively and offensively.

I see Ortiz getting frustrated in this fight. Victor almost got frustrated when Berto dropped the hammer on him in the 5th I think. Ortiz has a punchers chance but still Floyd has a solid chin. Mosley didn't stop punching but rather everytime he let his hands go he got tagged and discouraged. I saw that fight and Floyd stood right in front of Shane, made him miss and pay for it. I do agree that Ortiz would have to get Floyd out of there early because if he doesn't and Floyd gets in the zone then it's over for Vic.

How can you say fighters don't gas? They are human aren't they? Basketball players, football players, these guys train too. They all get tired! Why isna fighter different? I think floyds conditioning in those fights was superior but those fighters also did gas out! They got tired period! But it doesn't and shouldn't take away from floyd's win tho. He was the better fighter. Skills and condition. Floyd stood in front of Shane but only after he realized Shane had faded and could no longer get to him! Of everything I hear people say about the fight and Ortiz's chances of winning, I think they miss the obvious. Floyd is not gonna test Ortiz's power and he will as he always is, defensive. All Ortiz has to do is be busier! Just like the guys that beat Hopkins. You won't knock him out, so just outwork him. Take the decision and move on. Trying to land the big punch is why fighters lose, ask Pascal! Volume beats a defensive fighter. Then if Floyd decides to get aggressive or stand in front of him, he then will have Floyd fighting his fight! Great defensive fighters can't be beat by anyone, they beat themselves and that is in my opinion Ortiz's best chance at victory. Use Floyd's caution against him, bank early rounds and simply outwork him. Just like calzaghe and Taylor did Hopkins. It'll still be close, maybe even controversial but Ortiz can win that way

People are being way too hard on Oscar. Insight is insight! Even a man in the gutter can give advice, even if it's just how not to end up in the gutter right next to him! Regardless of the outcome for Ortiz. Oscar does have insight. Whether it's of great value or little value, I think it still has some value
