Margarito's pressure would be too much for Ortiz.

A lot of ppl are claiming Margarito is shot to pieces, but it's fairly unanimous that he would stop Victor Ortiz.. Imho, Pacquiao's win over Margarito is still slightly underrated.

Definitely... and so is Margaritos performance that night.

He walked thru heavy shots and kept throwing till the very last round. Antonio said in the 24/7 that Pacquiao better be prepared for war and those were not empty words. I respect Margarito for that.

He put up the most valiant and brave effort out of the recent opponents Pacquiao has fought.

Im gonna go a little bit further..and I'm gonna say that ALL MARGARITO is pressure, no power. Im gonna go along with some of my puerto rican friends and say that Margaritos hype was all dude to plaster.

No skill, no power, just cheating.

The Margarito Pacquiao fought had to bring something to the table besides a lack of plaster. He hung around for 12 rounds. A lot of guys would have folded under that pressure.. The list of Welterweights who could have withstanded that is short.

Cotto/Margarito 2 is somehow more relevant to boxing than it probably should be. I think this will be competitive and tell us a lot about both guys.

I think nowadays Ortiz uses Margarito as his punching bag.

I can't even make a "back then" prediction because of Margarito's hand wrap scandal. But yes, I think Ortiz pretty much pummels Margarito.

I get the feeling that the 151 weight was to somehow benifit Margarito in this tread. But we should be real about 1 thing. Margarito got blasted from Cotto, Mosley & Pacman. Those are 3 of the hardest hitting welterweights. Now while I don't know where Ortiz power is compared to those guys, He's young, hungry & big in his own right.

I almost pity the guys trying to give Pacman credit for the Margarito win. That fight was a disgrace to boxing. Margarito didn't perform well at all. People should remember that Roach himself wanted no part of Margarito after he ko'd Cotto. But two fights & a suspension later he was good to go.

I'll say that Ortiz ko's Margarito around welterweight & I'll say he ud's him at 151 for sure. Margarito is not walking through big power anymore, his chin is cracked & his face is broken.
