I wonder how much Haye's worth has dropped now in terms of selling power. He didn't deliver the goods last time out, he's lost a lot of credibility in his last 2 fights, would people really want to watch him versus Vitali, let alone Wlad ?
Vitali will have to fight his mando soon too.
Hopefully he stays retired but i can see him coming back to fight Vitali. But he has to prove himself by beating a couple of big names before he fights him.Comment

Vitaly only wants Haye because it is the biggest money fight in the division. Other than that the fight serves no purpose. I suppose you're right though and Haye should take it while he has the opportunity to make big money. As a fan of the sport though I think its unfair to other fighters working their way towards a shot when Haye already had his chance and performed horribly.
I actually thought that Vitalis slower, more open style would suit Haye more and I think he went after the wrong brother based on his fragility. His style of boxing is better suited to the older bro who is slower and gives you more opportunity to land but now Haye realises his limitations and doesnt want to risk further embrarassment. It can only be for that reason that he is not taking this fight as why else would he turn down a shot at redemption.Comment

truth is haye is still the third best in the divison 100% in the top 5 whoever you are.
but i'd love to see haye fight the winner of the povletin chaguev (spelling?) fight then who could wlad really fight after that?
plze don't anyone mention arrelo if he beats a top 6 oppenent then fine but otherwise haye would destroy him.Comment

There's nothing which says he has to retire, just when he's at his "supposed" heavyweight peak, except his "gall" or chutzpah, whatever you want to call it, in thinking that he is any kind of draw on the world heavyweight boxing stage.
When he actually tries to get down and a "make" a fight happen, and finds out his true value to a promoter. He will either face up to it, like a bucket of cold water over his head, or retire with injured dignity, saying he was going to retire all the time anyway.
He has NO heavyweight credentials anyway.Comment

WHY are there still people out their who give a damn about Haye? -- who cares if he's the 3rd, 5th or 20th 'best' HW? in a piss poor division? -- he's a disgrace to boxing and should really have been fined and suspended for his di****able 'performance' against WK, not rewarded with another lucrative payday.Comment
