Haye probably wants to avoid further embarassment

losing to both Klits after all the trash talk he's been doing for years...

Vitali will have to fight his mando soon too.
It has definitely dropped but all he has to do is beat a couple of contenders, start hyping it up and then the British public will follow him again. Plus, nobody else has a chance to beat the Klitschko's so people will still watch it on the off-chance that something happens.

Hopefully he stays retired but i can see him coming back to fight Vitali. But he has to prove himself by beating a couple of big names before he fights him.

Vitaly only wants Haye because it is the biggest money fight in the division. Other than that the fight serves no purpose. I suppose you're right though and Haye should take it while he has the opportunity to make big money. As a fan of the sport though I think its unfair to other fighters working their way towards a shot when Haye already had his chance and performed horribly.

vitali/haye would be a waste of time, i honestly wouldn't watch it. haye will lose regardless, so i doubt he even takes it. he's just going to retire most likely.

I dont think its just the money. I think Vitali genuinley wants to beat Haye up for disrespecting his family. Even if the money on the table was equal to Adamek, Solis, Briggs etc I still think Vitali would want to fight Haye because there is still unfinished business until a Klitschko leaves Haye on the floor unconcious.

I actually thought that Vitalis slower, more open style would suit Haye more and I think he went after the wrong brother based on his fragility. His style of boxing is better suited to the older bro who is slower and gives you more opportunity to land but now Haye realises his limitations and doesnt want to risk further embrarassment. It can only be for that reason that he is not taking this fight as why else would he turn down a shot at redemption.

I think we might have seen the last of Haye with Groves signing with Warren and Dave Coldwell spreading his own wings, It all points to Haye wanting away from it all the way i see it.

Vitali kills Haye and he knows it.

truth is haye is still the third best in the divison 100% in the top 5 whoever you are.
but i'd love to see haye fight the winner of the povletin chaguev (spelling?) fight then who could wlad really fight after that?

plze don't anyone mention arrelo if he beats a top 6 oppenent then fine but otherwise haye would destroy him.

The truth based on what? Certainly not on Haye's performances at heavyweight.

The truth is, as a heavyweight, Haye just ain't that good.

If haye was "normal" I mean mentally, which he isn't, he would have plenty of fights available where he might be able to put up a cresditable performance, but his gimmicky "retire at 31" is there as his safety fallback.

There's nothing which says he has to retire, just when he's at his "supposed" heavyweight peak, except his "gall" or chutzpah, whatever you want to call it, in thinking that he is any kind of draw on the world heavyweight boxing stage.

When he actually tries to get down and a "make" a fight happen, and finds out his true value to a promoter. He will either face up to it, like a bucket of cold water over his head, or retire with injured dignity, saying he was going to retire all the time anyway.

He has NO heavyweight credentials anyway.

WHY are there still people out their who give a damn about Haye? -- who cares if he's the 3rd, 5th or 20th 'best' HW? in a piss poor division? -- he's a disgrace to boxing and should really have been fined and suspended for his di****able 'performance' against WK, not rewarded with another lucrative payday.
