Same reason you ask for a certain type of glove to be worn by both fighters. It knocks the guy off their comfort level. It's called being smart. Margarito deserves the worst, hopefully they can agree on a 30 foot ring so Cotto can box the ears off that cheating ******.

Cotto is my fav fighter but i just dont see how this changes anything, if they are fighting for the 154 title it should be fought at 154 fullstop. this is a pac- like move and i hate it, Cotto is better than that. I like the way you think but I was thinking it be better if Cotto was allowed to bring a baseball bat to the ring. Billy Collins said after the Resto fight that it felt like a baseball bat was hitting him in the face so Cotto can return the favor.
