CAn't say that about Walt. He's a stand up poster. He was ridign Shane hard and made no excuses after. I just wish Shane had fought him when floyd 1st called him out. If that SHane hits floyd like that and has more stamina we would really get to see floyd do his thing.

Its a possibility that floyd had a lasting effect on one fighter he fought at the elite level yes, but certainly not multiple guys, he's no freaking career killer, mentally or physically. Any fighter in the world can have a lasting effect on ONE person he fights, but we don't make a thread on it for every single fighter in the world. Oh, are guys the same after fighting Micky Ward, Zab Judah, Wlad, Corrales, Vit, Emmanuel Augustus (burton), Kostya Tszyu, Hatton (tszyu), Abraham (miranda), JMM (diaz), Shane (margs), and the list goes on and on. JUST STOP BEING FAAAAAYYGGSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about someone else, talk about an upcoming fight, stop making up a bunch of bullshi t to try and prop up dude.

If you want to talk about people like that, talk about people who've actually ruined multiple careers and maybe careers of guys in their prime.

Dunn, that's not directed at you, just in general.

He might be a standup poster. But how anyone that says the only way to be ruined is via physical damage, has no right to call someone out on not following the sport.

Anyone that's not mentally strong, will not succeed in boxing or anything else for that matter. If you have a fighter that's in a tough bout, but starts having flashbacks of what happen to him previously when put in that situation, he's done for that fight.

            Chavez

            Before - 36-1
            After - 9-6

            Corrales

            Before - 33-0
            After - 7-4

            Corley

            Before - 28-2
            After - 9-15

Gatti - Pretty good winning streak before Floyd fight.

            Before - 39-6
            After - 1-2

Baldomir - Pretty good winning streak before Floyd fight, like 8 years long.

            Before - 43-9
            After - 5-3

            Ndou

            Before - 31-1
            After - 3-2

            De la Hoya

            Before - 38-4
After - 1-1 - Lackluster decision over Forbes and stopped by Pac.

This is one of the most objective posts on here, I think.

Go back and look at posts made in this thread. Out of the people knocking Floyd, you will find some saying he ruined Hatton, Ndou, Gatti, Mosley, Corrales, ect. Though they might differ in opinions on specifically who Floyd ruined, they rightfully admit to seeing some form of trend. I'll let them debate amongst each other as to why some picked Ndou, Hatton, Gatti, Corrales, and Mosley to name a few.

That's the sad thing, is that the TS is trying to make Mayweather appear to be something he isn't, when it's not necessary. Very few fighters get ruined or seriously effected by a fight, and with Mayweather clearly he isn't someone who negatively effects people's careers too much when he beats them.

Mayweather is an ATG fighter, no need to make up crap like "he changes fighters forever."

I think if we assume the TS is trying to pump floyd up thats part of the problem. The post about records post floyd is interesting. I think, removing as much of our biasies both positive and negative about floyd as possible, we can agree floyd shows all future opponets the EXACT way to defeat a fighter. Fighting floyd illustrates where a guy is weak. All future opponents have a "blueprint" on how to defeat a fighter by watching him fight floyd.

MAybe this was the TS point. Floyd takes away a fighters "aura" for lack of a better word.

                      Bojangles,

I'm not making up anything. Mayweather, Atlas, and Roach said this in interviews. I'm just agreeing with them.

What I did was ask what peoples thoughts on the situation were.

What I found was a lot of people disagreeing with Mayweather, which is fine. But I also found a lot of people agreeing with him. It's definitely subjective.

But just because you don't feel he ruins people doesn't mean there's others that do.
