Baldomir - Pretty good winning streak before Floyd fight, like 8 years long.

    Before - 43-9

    De la Hoya

After - 1-1 - Lackluster decision over Forbes and stopped by Pac.

I'm sure I'll hear "oh they were over the hill anyway" or "they won championships".

Go ahead and call me boxrec noob or whatever you like. Feel free.
why are you just looking at the raw numbers? that tells you nothing about the level of competition they faced. nothing. look at jesus chavez's record before he fought floyd. all bums. look at the guys he fought after floyd. almost all notable opponents. of course he's gonna lose when he fights better competition and it's the same with everyone else on that list.

I keep hearing stuff about "Floyd only ruins them mentally, but not physically".

Last time I checked, the game was 80% mental?

You need your psyche just as much as you need your body.

Hey guys, do me a favor. Name 1 fighter that's successful without a brain?

Moral of the story is, ruined mentally, might as well be ruined physically.

After losing to Floyd, most fighters go to the post fight interview, remark about how fast he is, and start planning their next fight.
After losing to Paq, most fighters go to the hospital, remark about wanting their mommies, and start planning their retirement.
