Cotto is demanding 150 at weigh-in and no more than 160 on fight night!!

Wonder what Cotto fans who criticized Pac about catchweights are saying now....

Either way, I want Cotto to destroy Margacheato!

Chavez jr who they are PROTECTING more than Fort Knox or the Pentagon & "Golden Boy" definitely ain't going to throw Canelo(who's basically on the same boat as Chavez jr, but under another promotion)against Margacheato..So it's either take it, or starve fighting for CHUMP CHANGE!!
I can't agree. Margarito just made huge money vs Pacquiao. 154 pound division is loaded. Margarito can fight Martirosyan, K9, Clottey rematch, Angulo. I agree that Chavez and Canelo aren't going to happen.

I also will say that fighting Cotto is the most lucrative fight out there for Margarito but it also is the most lucrative for Cotto and for that reason I think the fight will happen at 154 pounds. Is Cotto going to leave a 5million dollar guarantee on the table for Margarito to go back to fighting guys like Foreman and Mayorga for just 1million per fight? Or Clottey for 1 and a half million?

Cotto knows he only has a few fights left and will 1. want to maximize his purses and 2. get a shot at avenging his losses.

Interesting. I still haven't heard anything from Cotto's camp about a catchweight. So until Cotto himself says it then I'm gonna have to wave the bull**** flag on this one.

With that said. I can't justify a catchweight for this fight even being a huge Cotto fan. I can however justify a cap in weight for fight night. that makes sense.. But I agree with most of the people here. You won the title at 154 and defended it at 154 then you should fight at 154.. Plain and simple...

I just rewatched Martinez get KTFO by Margarito. Makes me wonder why Martinez isn't calling out Margarito to avenge that loss?? I understand that Sergio has been fighting one division higher than Margarito, but Sergio is calling out Floyd and Pac FFS!! Martinez-Margarito would still be a big payday. Would be a great round robin between Martinez, Margarito and Cotto!

Remember how Cotto didn't mind when Mayorga said he was going to be huge the day of the fight?

If this Catchweight and fight night limit of 160 is true, then we know that Cotto isn't concerned about the plaster argument but weight and size. This would only reasure that Cotto is still scared of his papy.

cuz I think he's seen just how crap margarito is now (not to mention a cheater) and after the beating he got at the hands of Mosley and Pacquiao, is afraid he might kill margarito.

To be fair this is Cotto's first catch weight demand if this indeed is true. No official word has come from he Cotto camp yet. If Miguel Goes this route then this goes to show that he is not confident in beating Margarito IMO.

Margarito never asked for a catchweight. Why would he? He's naturally bigger. Hell Cotto hasn't even came in at 150 or lower in over 2 yrs come December 3rd. I wonder if he's shooting himself in the foot. Pac fight was the last time he weighed in under 153.5
