i would like to see an oscar floyd fight at welterweight, but oscar said it will never happen since his trainer is floyds pops...But personally i think he needs to get rid of Floyds dad, get a trainer thats fits his original style better, possibly his own dad, and **** lil floyd up...but who knows...anything can happen in boxing...Comment

I dont think Ocsar will **** Mayweather up. Yes he is a bigger puncher but Mayweather has the speed and defense to make it into an interesting fight. Especially if the fight goes into late rounds were Oscar starts sucking air.Comment

I think everyone here is ****ing nuts... Oscar is YES a hall of famer, moved up weight quickly, fought everyone along the way, yes. Why compare floyd to oscar. Its a different era now... Floyd would outbox and show the now old man. Especially after this layoff. Floyd is doing the right thing, hes doing whats good for him; he knows himself better than anyone. WHY WOULD YOU TRY TO TELL SOMEONE HOW TO RUN THEIR COMPANY...!!!!
The big fight will come; there will be a Mayweather/Hatton fight next..I then think that will lure in Judah..He doesnt need to go chasing those other guys around, you want floyd, prove it.... LETS REMEMBER WHO MADE HIM P4P, NOT HIM, THE FANS AND THE SANCTIONS.....Comment

He compares himself to Oscar, by sayin hell be the first to conquer 4 divisions in less then 10 years, and then by callin oscar out...and me sayin oscar would win is my opinion, nobody else's but my opinion that im entitled to, when everyone was sayin manny was gonna kill morales it was my opinion that morales would tap that ass...my opinion that im entitled to...Originally posted by vtamhI think everyone here is ****ing nuts... and Hes not p4p at all, hes top 10 fa sho, but definately not p4p, may have p4p talent, but doesnt have p4p resume, and he chased Gatti, so why not chase someone who actually may give him problems, and if he really does think nobody can give him problems, there should be no problem makin big fights happen, right???Hes a cake and thats that... and different era???whateva the **** that means, boxing has always been about fightin the best against the best to prove whos the best, what era are u talkin about, the era where fighters fight paper champions and steer away from potential tought fights, yea thats the era floyd is a part of, not fightin anyone and callin out people he knows he can beat...If ur a floyd fan u should be mad to, cause he aint fightin no one...floyds been fightin for damn near 10 yrs and has only 3 big fights on his resume, thats terrible...nuff said..Comment

I think you're right... I think Floyd has had one fight on his mind for many years now, and that's OSCAR DE LA HOYA.Originally posted by deuce_dropWATCH, Floyd is going to sign with Golden Boy Promotions and then sign a fight with Oscar at 150lbs. thats going to be the next chain of events in his career, probably after the Mitchell fight, if not, he'll have one more fight before signing the DLH fight......i think that he has this game plan up his sleeve.....
just a wild guess....
Why Would Floyd fight De La Hoya when De La Hoya has lost his last 3 fights and has not looked good since beating Fernando Vargas back in 2002'?
Money.
Floyd is a fighter that's "all about the money", why do you think he picked Gatti as his fight at 140lbs before moving up? Because Gatti has a PPV following. Floyd is not coming across as a fighter that is really bothered about legacy, just money. And He will not take any fight remotely risky whilst waiting for De La Hoya.
Wouldn't it be funny if De La Hoya strings Floyd along for years with half promises of a fight - then when Floyd turns 32yrs old, turn around and say... "Nah, No fight! I retire".Comment

I couldn't agree with you more. he got all the talent in the world and is just wasting it on Sharmba and gatti and those type of fighters.Originally posted by moraleskospacisbackHe compares himself to Oscar, by sayin hell be the first to conquer 4 divisions in less then 10 years, and then by callin oscar out...and me sayin oscar would win is my opinion

He used Gatti as a stepping stone for bigger and better things at 140 and 147. Gatti is an average fighter at best, but is a PPV fighter. People pay to see this guy fight because he brings a FIGHT every time. Floyd just got more money and fans with beating Gatti and showing the class after the fight.
Floyd won't take an easy way out. He's going to fight a Judah or Hatton after Sharmba. Why else would he fight Sharmba? He wants to test out hi speed / power at 147 and against a slick southpaw (like Judah).Comment

I dont think he needed gatti as a steppin stone. I am a huge gatti fan and was hopeing he would KTFO of PBF but i knew that PBR would be way too much for gatti, as most ppl did.Originally posted by CalabreseHe used Gatti as a stepping stone for bigger and better things at 140 and 147.
