He is making money fighting these lesser opponents, so the problem is the people that pay money for this garbage. If it's on 'free' HBO I'll watch - and not buying any of his PPV's until he steps up the level of opponent.

Give Zab Judah a lot of credit for fighting Spinks for next to nothing, so he could beat him, get the belts, then ask for more. That's a great attitude, and PBF doesn't seem to have it. Instead, he calls out fighters and then demands almost all of the money because of the ****** #1 P4P ranking.

Drop him in the P4P rankings, and don't buy his rotten PPV's. Then we'll see him in fights we care about.

Floyd used Gatti as a stepping stone for bigger and better things in jr. welter and welter. Gatti is/was HBO's poster boy. By dismantling him, and showing he had some class after he won he gained a bunch of fans and interest which fighting a top contender couldn't of bought.

Floyd's a smart businessman I think he's going to go the RJJ route EXCEPT he's going to fight the top contenders. I think he's getting Judah lined up assuming he beats Sharmba.

I agree with Calabrese. you dont want to move toooo fast. Moraleskos.. talks about DelaHoya, and yes, he might be one of the exceptions, but whats he doing now; MOVING BACK DOWN..... WAS TOOOOOO SMALL FOR MIDDLEWEIGHT.
He needed a lesson before he realized that.... Floyd does not need to go through that lesson. I soon see a fight with Judah, only at Jr. Welter. The other guys are tooooo big for him. Floyd walks the streets around that weight. Seems like everyone on this site loves Jeff Lacy, whos he fought.....and everyones fine with him staying at 168... The fact is that there is alot of good fighters at welter and Jr.middle, and you cant expect Floyd to go running and proving himself because people want to see it. You have to remember, Floyd is his own business and livelyhood and it would be foolish to treat it less than that.

It's funny a Lewis fan calling Mayweather Gay. Lennox Lewis is the one with rumors about his gayness. LOL!

I'm sure Lennox Lewis's wife and son would disagree.

I'm starting to think that Mayweather is trying to cheat his way into boxing stardom. I don't think he has any intention of fighting Hatton, Judah, Cotto or anyone remotely dangerous... I think Mayweather is desperatly chasing Mosley or De La Hoya, (neither of which have much left to offer in the top class).

Yeah. When a fighter moves up in weight. He should fight the best in the division for his first fight without even testing how his body feels at that weight. He should never fight a warm-up when moving up in weight...it's dumb and pointless and it's wasting his skills....some of you people need to listen to yourself.

The main fights you all were complaining about were Hatton and/or Cotto, both are not ready yet...moved up in weight, Zab Judah fight fell through the roof, Antonio Margarito brings no money (He knows that that's why he offered 85/15) and is a big risk for anyone moving up in weight to take as their first fight.
From a fans point of view I'd like nothing more than for Mayweather to take on the best in every fight, but making big fights aren't that easy. I'll give him up until the time Ricky Hatton's people say their boy is "ready" and if Floyd still doesn't fight him, then I'll be upset.

This was my point to. Unless Floyd gets and 85 cut, why should he bother fighting anybody else? Because boxing for Floyd is not about being the best in the world. How many times do we have to see a guy with great abilities waste them on B class fighters to get a monster paycheque. That's what's wrong with boxing today. There are too many business men, and not enough fighters.
