now that floyd is fighting again its even funnier to me cause he's fighting
a game opponent Not that JMM isnt but Pacquiao and Roach obviously
wanted time for him to cool down a bit. I dont even bother talking bad
about Pacquiao but I realize his fans will make you hate him and I had
to check myself...Same with Khan his fans will make you hate him but

To the couple of guys that responded to me. Look, it's what I think.

I thought Margarito taking Cotto's 0 was highly likely, highly possible, I predicted Margarito would beat him. That was when Cotto was seen as basically unbeatable and favored in all of his fights, including favored against Mosley in 2007. Margarito took his 0.

I pretty much knew and screamed Hopkins would take Pavlik's 0. While Roach and Hopkins haters, experts were calling off the old man because of his performance against Calzaghe. I predicted Hopkins would take Pavlik's 0. And he did it easily, like taking candy from a baby.

When every one else was calling me crazy that an amateurish fighter like Pascal has a chance to beat such a poised fighter like Dawson, I refused to bet at all in that fight because I didn't want to bet against Dawson, and I thought Pascal's chances to take his 0 were good. It was not an upset to me. I saw it as a 50-50 fight, Pascal took Dawson's 0. I didn't look so crazy afterall.

No, i'm not some special predictor that gets everything right, i've lost my handful of predictions. But i'm saying, i've been pretty confident in Floyd all this time, except for now. And I still stick to my comment that al lot of you are overrating Floyd. Holding the man to too high of standards. 34 years old and a 16 month lay off, is 34 years old and a 16 month lay off for any body, Floyd Mayweather Jr is not god. Has Floyd ducked real competition his whole career and that's why he wins, or is he really good and he just makes any competition look bad? Which one is it? You can't have it both ways. To me he's fought tough fighters his whole career and right here with Vic Ortiz, he's gonna fight a real good, strong, big, young, determined fighter, who's gonna have a lot of Mexican fans roaring behind him in the crowd, versus a 34 year old who no longer takes the sport as serious as 8-10 years ago, maybe not that he doesn't take the sport that serious anymore, but he's certainly not hungry anymore, he's eaten too much and simply just fighting because of the love for the sport, not the hunger. Hunger and love are two different things.

I figured out how these internet generation fans are now days

Whoever they route for the other fighter becomes their enemy.

Haven't figured out why yet. I was a Hearns fan but never ever
hated Leonard or Haglar. I was a Tyson fan but never hated an
opponent of his. I think this online generations weird in that
they go against whoever their fighter is fighting which is just a
dumb reason to hate someone you don't know and will probably
never meet. As soon as Judah was lined up to fight Khan hate
started for Judah.

As far as Floyd every new sensation has been lined up to dethrone
dude and none of them could or loss before they got a chance to so
the amount of hate has built over the years to a very high level cause
people want to see him lose so badly.

Just like some fighters have a fan club Floyd has mass amounts of
people waiting to see him lose.
