Damn, it was impossible to watch Floyd back then and NOT like him. He got hit more, but he displayed his skills far MORE when he fought like that. So farking accurate and exciting to watch.

This is when I think it all changed for him:

Funny how once he started earning the big money, his style progressed into a far more "careful" fighter. It may have been partly due to injuries, or just that he found out he could do a lot less and earn a lot more for longer. And there's actually quite a few current boxing fans that have probably never even seen Mayweather fight the way he did against Corley, Augustus, Chavez etc. The only reason some people even watched the FMJ/Castillo fights is because of the controversy surrounding their first fight. They all want to see the fight where so many thought it was really a loss for Mayweather.

The whole point of avoiding the Pacquiao fight, and all those dangerous fights before that was to avoid such "war". Self preservation comes before anything, Mayweather has recently been quoted as saying. Don't expect that war to ever happen.

It's just that Floyd is really that good, yeah he makes opponents look ridiculous coz he really is that good.

But I'm sure ther'll come a time when Floyd seemed vulnerable, where nothing seems to go right with his usual self, where he has to dig so deep coz he gets tagged more often that he did. Then he matches that of his opponent by going toe-to-toe. That's what we want to see.

Don't you wanna see that too? How Floyd can overcome those? It can be interesting ain't it?

It's not that far fetched to think what if Floyd has to undergo that, coz we've seen no one in his resume close that can bring it (only JLC perhaps).
Nah i get you but that wont happen until he gets older.

1 thing is for sure if he does look as sharp as he has been then I dont think we will be seeing that for a while. Im expecting him to look slower but still be able to out think Ortiz.

Pernell Whitaker and Tommy Hearns are most definitely ATG's.
