MMA is on the decline. I don't see how people can deny that... Just like Nascar, Poker, X games exploded for like 5 or 6 years then people stopped caring cause the fad was over.... Product is everything, you can only promote so much which the UFC did and does great, but boxing has been around for well over 100 years for a reason.

UFC/ZUFFA by TKO, they just went to the big leagues and by airing their first live event on the night of Pacquiao-Marquez, they are sending a CLEAR message to the boxing institution (aka the greedy promoters). Depending on what Arum, Schaefer, etc do in the next few months, this may just have been the death knell for Boxing.

And these clowns tried to play off 24/7 replays on CNN at midnight as some sort of bonus for the sport. Pathetic

weither they are "competing" with zuffa/mma or not there needs to be some better promoters to bring boxing back to were it should be IMO....

i just dont like that the fnf season ends cause of college football....

so what if they need the friday slot....

**** you clown, I'm not even a UFC fan. Just stating some real **** that some sensitive teenage girls like yourself may not be able to handle. ZUFFA just sowed up the 18-34 demographic and Fox/FX will go all out to promote the product, including using their normal sports programming (NFL, Nascar) to push the new MMA partnership. Meanwhile it was a big deal that boxing (only a reality show) will be featured on a news network at midnight?

The Fertitas and Dana White are putting on a masterclass on how to promote and grow a product while the greedy ****s who rule boxing have done nothing but suck the life out of the sport and run it into the ground while lining their pockets.

The UFC will continue to grow by leaps and bounds while Boxing will continue to fade into obscurity and niche territory as long as the status quo doesn't change.

No one even watches TUF anymore, and UFC fight nights on cable are worse then FNF's.... The majority of everything will be on FX not Fox. ****e to FX seems like a downgrade IMO, the little bit fox will do makes it worth it, but either way the UFC fad is declining.

I have noticed quite the opposite in the last few years. But this deal they have made with fox should make Arum and Schafer feel pretty bad on how they are just keeping a limited audience staying on premium cable. Big Boxing matches still make big mma cards look like nothing.
