Glen Johnson doesnt deserve more than 350k imo. He is just a durable journeyman. Do people think boxers make that much cash? There is very few boxers who can make over $1m a fight.

I think people sometimes dont know that Boxing is a business, promoters have to make their money back.

Bute fee + johnson fee + arena lease + security staff + event staff + overhead expenses + regular expenses + Promoter Staff Salaries + profit off event to use for future events.

This is why you need people who can bring in big crowd so they will fill the place up and buy a ton of alcohol since they make more money off the booze than the tickets.

Why is Bute making over a million for his fights? Who did he beat? He is nothing more then a Sven Ottke clone. Glen Johnson took the hard rode fighting the best, and sometimes coming up short. But unlike Johnson, Bute doesn't take those type of risks.

Everything you said is horse*t meant to cover up the fact that you will support Bute because of his Eastern European blood no matter what he does.

Fact of the matter is they didn't even offer Johnson 350K, which Johnson might have taken. Instead they offered him "significantly more than a million less" which means they offered the guy 150-200K which is a goddamn joke considering the gate that Bute will draw will be the same as if he fought Pavlik and Showtime would pitch in just as much money for either fight.

You Euro nuthuggers are just as bad as the David Haye fans.

i've followed bute, and even though his opposition is questionable that dude is a great ****ing boxer. he's always working on new weapons and using them effectively in his fights.

I'd LOVE to see him vs. Johnson. That would be a good fight. Bute is a notorious slow starter and Johnson can ****. make it happen!!
