I'm pretty sure that there were only about four of us on the "predict the number of ppv buys" thread that actually came close. I remember Manny P was one of them. I picked 275,000. Some people were predicting as much as 800,000 to a million. No way that was going to happen. As much as it sucks, neither guy is a "name."

And yeah, I'm done with Showtime PPV. They ****** ass.

Showtime use to show great fights almost every week, until I noticed them cop out for more Castilla/Corrales type brawls, now they barly show anything...

Another example of how most people have LOUSY taste.

This fight had some great word of mouth.....I though it would have sold better.
Perhaps those passing on the good words should have thrown in how Corrales once hit his pregnant wife ? Maybe that would have given it the Tyson-effect ?

It didnt surprise me i was calling bars and sports bars all over my city and none of them were gonna show it.

I didn't order the fight because of pre-fight controversy although I believe it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the fight.

Castillo-Corrales II PPV numbers lower than expected!

October 12, 2005 - Although the exact number has yet to be released, impeccable sources have informed **********.com that the Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo Showtime PPV generated 75,000-100,000 homes less than the 350,000 homes Showtime was expecting. I hate that for both castillo and corrales..regardless, if and when the rubber match takes place, I'm ordering it no matter what. It's amazing that some will pay that huge fee to watch some shot heavy wts hug each other all night but not pay to see the rematch of the best fight in ages
