    heart/warrior mentality- check

    chin- check

    stamina- check

    punch output- check
TBH it will take two fights to know for sure; Miguel Cotto rematch, and if he wins, his fight against a top 154 like Alvarez or Angulo.

If he wins both, I would find it hard for anyone to call him shot (unless your just a hater like that).

Yes, the reports all said that he actually had to be hurried back into the ring so that he would be ready to fight before the bell went for the second round. Meaning he left the ring and was chased after, with all the HUGE NOISE going on, grabbed and turned around, to reenter the ring ALL WITHIN THE one minute rest period..... He'd have had to have to have left the ring BEFORE any of the usual crowd all ready around the ringside, jumped in to clasp his hand etc. which the stories equally say is what happeed. So, lots of contradictions.

The story always went on that if he hadn't got back into the ring ready to fight within that ONE MINUTE, it would have been HE, Dempsey, who'd have been counted out.

I personally don't believe a tenth of the myths which have grown up around famous long ago fights, until and unless I can examine the contemporary reports of the events with a critical, sceptcial eye. And I have that in large quantity.

I always keep in mind that journalists, by the very nature of the pressure to print startling news before a rival newspaper, all have very inventive minds, and as soon as the presses are rolling they are off again looking for another astounding tale to tell. And "embellishment" by a writer, has always seemed to be a "right" which they eagerly used.

It will be hard to gauge coz speed was never a factor in Marg's arsenal.

That's why I'm asking people who say he's shot to show some footages for comparison.

Coz honestly, I just don't see it (not yet).

Look at the first Cintron fight and compare that Mosley/Garcia/Pac fight. If you can't see the difference in that then I don't know what else to tell you.

What I wanna know is, how and the HELL can you *******s act like Margarito is a great fighter and true warrior, when dude might have only been a great fighter due to that he was using Plaster of Paris.

And then you guys blast a young, good fighter, not a cheater like Ortiz.

Margarito is a great fighter. Don't confuse that with ATG now. Dude fought everyone. He didn't have to fight Williams but he did. He actually had the balls to tell Arum go fuck yourself. Who else did that?

What people don't like about you Floyd stans is that you were in the same boat making fun of Ortiz when he quit like a bitch vs Maidana. Now cause he beat one of the biggest overrated WWs of this era, he's the cream de la crem.

I think people say Margarito is "SHOT" maybe to discredit Mosley and/or Pacquiao I guess

with Margarito, he looks good against CERTAIN STYLES, against a BOXERS and/or someone with SPEED, he really doesn't look as good, he always been like that but Bob Arum is a GREAT MATCH MAKER, so he knew which fighters to give him

Thanks to a couple of posters who defined "shot" and "past prime", i have redefined my opinion of both Cotto and Margo. I don't think either are shot, but i do think they are past their primes. Just my :2 cents:

                    Lol,

he hasn't looked too good "post hand-wraps", and that's a fact.

and he had to come down to 150lbs when he was weighing 158-160lbs and already ripped to the bone. There's no special way of cutting down in weight from there a whole 10-8lbs , the only way is to drain down. and that's also a fact

floyd and pacquiao are beeing overhyped

No, I'm pretty sure that's an opinion. Yet another overused word on this board, "FACT". Get the **** outta here with that ****, people who think their opinion overrules all are annoying as hell.
