Forget the whole Pac and Martinez situation for a second.
Really take a look at the same day weigh-in aspect. Ignore Pac and Martinez throw in any other fighter you wish, or don't throw in any fighter at all. Just look at the same day weigh-in.
What is wrong with having it now?
Yes it was medically dangerous back then because people would drain themselves to make a certain or would suffer the danger of being to small for the higher weight.
Back then a lot of weight-classes were separated by double digits in pounds. Now we have so many weight-classes(17) with all of these jr and super divisions. All weight-classes are separated from 3-8 pounds. That a fighter doesn't have to drain themselves cuz' they're too small for the weight-class. Since none of the weight-classes have huge gap in pounds(except for LHW to CW)
Really, same day weigh-in should be brought back. There's nothing dangerous about it now.
And, it would eliminate a lot of catch-weight fights. Plus you would have guys fighting against others who are their own size. So people can't be crying about someone being too big and this and that.Comment

i know what same day means u *******ed turd.....
sergio weighs about 170 the day he fights....
how the **** would he get down to 154 same day without diuretics or drying out the same day he fights....
if he did that he woulndt be competitive...
what arrent u getting here....
i like same day weigh ins...
but if u are going to do them fighers would have to fight at higher weights than they are fighting at now cause they would have less time to recover from drying out to make a lower weight.Comment
