no they did not....they dismissed it because of others refusing to fight guys who came in over the weight limit....

my point was that him coming down to 154 same day would probably be as drainign physicaly as coming down to 140 day before...

And, it would be great now if they did same day weigh-in. Because, now we have so many weight-class. So now, we really should have same day weigh-in. It would eliminate a lot of crap that people don't like, like catch-weight fights.

How about Pacquiao vs Martinez at 160 in Philadelphia(Pennsylvania still does same day weigh-in) for the MW belt?

Martinez would weigh 160(assuming), Pacquiao 148(assuming). A 12lb disadvantage for Pac. But, he has fought against bigger size disadvantage(Margarito) and Mosley was probably close to the 160 as well. So what would be the issue with this? Plus Martinez might still be somewhat drained weigh-in at 160 same day...When was the last time he has done that?
