Telling it like it is, Manny hasn't been that impressive if you take all factors into consideration. The media has blown the hype way out of proportion. I've always said, it been mostly a smoke and mirror act, it will however, come to light once Manny signs the contract to fight Mayweather. I can't wait for this fight to happen.
Manny Pacquiao has 1 good WW win imo

Precisely, we can criticize Manny all we want but at the end of the day we'd be nitpicking. The Oscar win is good because Oscar tried to cherry pick a lightweight, and the impressive way he completely dismantled Oscar.
Cotto goes unsaid.
Clottey had never been beaten like that, and was a proven top 5 type fighter at welterweight.
Mosley is the only not good win at welter for Manny, and it wasn't bad.
Because the fact of the matter is, when was the last time someone came up from lightweight and utterly pulverized guys up to 150+?
Guys like Manny don't come around too often and to say this and that is nitpicking.
Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley did not deserve their fights with him...but he nonetheless beat them in impressive fashion.Comment

Pacquiao was always a huge 130/135 pounder though. He came in as a jr welterweight at fight night in his lw fights. De La Hoya did too for this particular fight so isn't THAT impressive.
I didn't watch the Pac/Hoya fight when it happened I wasn't around for all the hype, but I got the impression from the HBO commentators that the only reason why De La Hoya was favored was that everyone though he would outweigh Pacquiao by a ton. Do we know for sure there was a fight night weigh-in stipulation for sure or is it just a rumor? Yeah, it might hindsight because nobody knew he would come in lighter than Pacquiao, but if it was kept hidden by Pacquiao for that very reason to make him look like an underdog, then I think hindsight is a valid reason for discounting the de la hoya win. That only IF there was such a stipulation on the contract. I'm convinced that there was though.Comment

clottey, margarito and mosely are not good wins. they are tune ups at best. idc how small pac is, if hes fighting at ww, he dont get passes just because he was smaller. floyd doesnt get those same passes altho hes often been the smaller man in the ring against many of the guys he fought. but pac does because? if we are gonna call it, lets call it how it is.Precisely, we can criticize Manny all we want but at the end of the day we'd be nitpicking.

Exactly DR. People didn't give Duran and Mosley credit for going up from lightweight to beat Leonard and De La Hoya respectively because they were smaller. That is foolish logic. Mosley and Duran moved up to beat great/good opponents. Being smaller doesn't mean you should get props for beating so so bigger opponents. Pacquiao fought these guys at the right time, this is a fact and any fool should be able to see that. Some of these cats are funny.clottey, margarito and mosely are not good wins. they are tune ups at best. idc how small pac is, if hes fighting at ww, he dont get passes just because he was smaller. floyd doesnt get those same passes altho hes often been the smaller man in the ring against many of the guys he fought. but pac does because? if we are gonna call it, lets call it how it is.Comment

Why do so many of you make all these excuses for Manny? You guys act like he's some inferior fighter. I even tried to be nice and give Manny his credit for beating Cotto without mentioning the catch weight. Yet, you guys come at me with the he was smaller bull****. Being smaller doesn't mean you should get credit for beating fighters at the right time. GTFO here with that bull****!Comment

I give Mayweather and Pacquiao both credit for their victories. They have both one-upped each other in regards to recent opponents. Why do so many of you make all these excuses for Manny? Oscar at 154>Oscar at 147
Hatton at 140>Hatton at 147
Márquez at 147Clottey at 147 Margarito at 150/Mosley at 147 coming off loss/draw
Pacquiao's more active, but Floyd looks just as impressive against his opponents.Comment

Oh yeah, Manny even outweighed Oscar on fight night. This makes this even funnier. Yeah, Manny is so small. LMAO! See it's because of the type responses that this thread got is one of the main reasons why I can't stand Manny's cherry picking ass.Comment
