Floyd 7 Oscar 5. Oscar only won the five rounds he came in behind the jab, lost the ones he didn't.

Funny but the more time passes, the wider the margin Floyd won by grows.

Too bad it was past Oscar's prime.

Oscar hit a lot of air and glove while Floyd was smacking him around

You have to be the biggest Floyd hater or the biggest Oscar ****rider to give Oscar 4 rounds

Giving Oscar 4 rounds is giving Oscar the benefit of every single doubt in that fight.

Giving Oscar 5 rounds, just mean either you didn't watch it and just went to boxrec saw SD so decided to say 5 or you just flat out don't know how to score the bout.

And, even if Oscar was in his prime he's not beating Floyd. The levels are World apart. Oscar skills is not even on Floyd league. Talent, IQ, style it all favors Floyd.

This was the first time I watched the fight since I watched it live. At the time I thought it was closer, maybe 8-4 or 7-5. Now I think it's more along the lines of 9-3 or even 10-2

The fight was a points massacre...people who thought Oscar won have too much emotion against Floyd. Hurt haters...

                12. Oscar (pity round).

                117-111.

Floyd was dominant with his jab all night, and controlled the 2:30 of every round, and Oscar would throw a mostly ineffective flurry every now and then (occasionally landing a good clean shot).

Anyone that scored this fight for Oscar needs a lesson on judging 101.

indeed. The worst part about the fight was the commentary, which was absolutely ridiculous. I remember thinking Merchant, Steward and Lampley should be ashamed of half the crap they were saying. It was refreshing to listen to Kellerman's take at the end, which was 100% spot on the money. He gave it to Tommy Kaczmarek who scored it for Oscar 7-5, and said it was Floyd 9-3, 8-4 was acceptable, but he had a problem with anyone who scored it at 7-5 and under for Floyd.

biggest fallacy of the fight that he lost because he stopped throwing the jab, he was losing when he was throwing it and actually threw more jabs in the second half of the fight if i'm not mistaken.

Inside the ring. I don't care about outside the ring, who was the bigger star, made more money, sold more PPV. All that is irrelevant to me.

It's what can they do inside the ring.

And, in between those ropes. Prime Oscar De la Hoya wouldn't be able to carry Floyd Mayweather Jr jockstrap.

Yea, I said it. And, I mean it too

iv'e recently watched this fight about 3 times start to finish (within the last 2 or 3 months) in 1080 HD thanks to the good people at the Video Trading Block....and i can tell you it wasn't even close, and Floyd took virtually zero risk bar a few rounds. The commentary is utterly disgusting, even from Lampley who is usually the most balanced.
