These guys that harp about Wlad getting knocked down make me laugh --how long would Wepner last against Wlad? 1 round?

But I give credit to Wepner for fortitude and making the most out of what he had. We still mention him today because of that.

Lennox got knocked out COLD -- something that never happened to Wlad -- by two journeymen, one a fat guy and the other a crack head. But that doesn't seem to bother the same people who keep bringing up Wlad being knocked down by Sanders and Peter.

Firstly neither knocked lennox out cold, you can bring up the wepner knock down, but wlad has been knocked down by journeymen multiple times and stopped twice by fighters who were also journeyman, corrie sanders was talented but would have got his ass kicked by most top heavies 70-90's.

I don't agree with this thread, half of it is a bait thread. But klitschko fans make these types of threads all the time so you guys can have a taste of your own medicine for once...taste bitter?

But bottom line is that wladimir has a very average resume thus far in his career, it's not his fault...but it is the cold hard truth and not you or anyone else can argue against that.

And Wepner on the same level as guys like Corrie Sanders & Ross Purrity? In what universe?

Wepner beat Ernie Terrell, and was a top ten contender for several years during the mid-70's, which ****'z on anything Sanders or Purrity has done in their career outside of beating Wlad. Sanders & Purrity have no other meaningful wins or noteworthy career acheivements outside of KO'ing Wlad. Which tells you all you need to know.
