Don't defend Canelo here, he's a champion. The more I hear Vanes speak the more I like him. I don't give a **** a$$ if he couldn't beat Canelo, he's the manditory, he wants the fight, there is no reason for Canelo to be fighting Gomez instead of him. Champions shouldn't be protected. You know, I don't mind guys calling each other out but the way Vanes is calling out someone new every month is getting old. First it was Martinez ducking him, then Lara, now he's gonna slap Canelo. I think its great when the fighters trash talk because it brings a little more excitement to the atmosphere, but what atmosphere is this guy building? He talks **** about one fighter, then fights someone else. He's gonna slap Canelo, but barely got past Ouma. He just comes across as a hater/**** talker. When Rios does it, its with guys he is scheduled to fight, Vanes is just talking **** on everyone and hoping he eventually fights somebody.

If he has problems with getting fights, he needs to take that up with Top Rank, the guys who have been shelving him. And if they aren't going full force and trying to get him the big fights, he only has his performances against Greene and Ouma to thank for that. Thankfully for Vanes, he put on a great show with Roman so people want to see him again. My only beef, just keep the trash talk to guys you are signed to fight. When you become king of the mountain you can talk trash all day like Naz. Until then, zip it.
