Dude, Vanes just barely got the green light for more TV time. He was banned since the Mean Joe Greene fight. One or two more exciting fights and the title shot will be at his door. He is very capable but his words are just not humble at all and that turns lots of people off, myself included. And I know he is a nice kid, I read all about him when he was just about to be sent to Greece. But now that he is in the paid ranks, he feels that the title should already be his. I know he envys that Canelo had it easy, lots of guys do. He shouldn't let that get to him because the easy title for Canelo could very well end up being a blessing or a curse for his respective career.

Besides, Vanes is already big time. WBC ordered Vanes/Angulo and that's more of a title fight than Canelo/Hatton was. If it happens, your boy is going to get praise and massive media attention. He can make a lot more fans and make a better case for a Canelo shot by beating Angulo so don't feel too bad for the guy. He wanted a tough fight, he has one at his door.

Well to be fair Vanes hasn't exactly cruised in his last 2 fights against pedestrian opposition. Getting hurt and having to dig deep against fringe contenders isn't exactly a good omen.

Well, I admire Vanes' commitment to fighting top opponents, and give him full credit for that, but honestly I think Alvarez would turn him inside out.
