And nobody is taking that away from Ali. Hell, Wlad himself is a fan of Ali.

Michael Jordan developed a style that the next generation emulated and evolved into something even better. Sure MJ's stats still make him the greatest, like Ali's stats would make him the Greatest of the Heavyweights.

But ability wise, a new breed of athletes are superior to Michael Jordan in ability and size. And the same goes for Ali.

I hear that, man - you can tell there's an ambivalence there.

Nice to hear from someone from around that way.

This is boxing, and in boxing its about who was the most skills...Ali outskills wlad

If hes old and cant move wlad puts it on him but a prime ali is too fast
My problem with this is that Wlad has done well against guys who were also faster than him like Chambers, Byrd, and Haye even if you view those guys as inferior its not the point really, the one attribute where Wlad would be at a huge disadvantage has not hindered him in the past and he actually does better against fighter like that because they are not trying to get on his chest push him back and land hard power shots. Those are the type of guys he has trouble with.

Michael Jordan would still be the best in the league.
Ali woukd still be a top heavy

Thats why theyre the best because theyre skills would be great in any era

I dont see lebron or kobe dunking from the free throw line or averaging 30+ a game in a league that didnt allow you to shoot foul shots everytime u flop throughh the lane..

You dont see fighters as fast as when ali fought, or that punch as hard..guys like foreman and shavers used to break fighters faces and arms. The fact that they weighed less is because they were in great shape something the vheavys today should learn from

I can acknowledge evolution in sports--it's a very real thing. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the technical aspects of boxing to determine whether or not it has actually taken place or not. Are we seeing Wlad expanding upon techniques ddeveloped then? Has he developed answers for some of the things we were seeing in the 60's? I don't know. Can anyone here answer that?

Watch some boxing vids from the 40's-70's and come back to this thread.

LOL @ guys claiming Wlad is some vastly superior physical and athletic specimen just because he's three inches taller and has a negligible reach advantage.

**** this thread. Too many ******s. Embarrassing, truly.

I love how people like to say who has Ali beat to make them think he can beat a klit... That's so ass backwards it's not even funny. There have always been big guys in boxing btw.. Your assumption this era is full of SHW's that would kill all other era's is fucking ******ed..

Now back to the point. Who in he hell has Wlad or Vitali beat that make you think either one could beat Ali?

BTW im not a Klitschko nuthugger.

Prime Lewis vs prime Klitshcko would be 50/50 imo.
