the 60 70 80 were nothing compared to todays era. How many soviet boxers fought in those eras?
Today we got boxers from every part of the world. So the talent pool is much higher.
And like I said all the boxers Ali beat would be considered midgets in todays era. Ali would stand no chance against Wlad.Comment

LOL, says the guy with Roy Jones' image tatted all over his junk.
You don't know squat about Ali's ledger if you think bums is all he had besides the two F's and the L.
Larry Holmes is a sweet guy, but sadly delusional and slightly salty that he had to live in a greater man's shadow. That's all.
The cluelessness on this forum could make me weep, if I wasn't as cold as a stone.Comment

I understand your point that Wlad doesn't get as much credit as he deserves; But I'm not buying the talent pool argument. The conditioning of many of these fighters speaks for itself. The fact that Arreola is competitive and talked about illustrates this point clearly.
He has cleaned up his division. How many boxers have done thatComment

Maybe in swimming in track when you base everytthing off of times. But this is boxing this is a real brutal sport and anyone with eyes can tell cassius clay was magic in the ring...liston frazier patterson foreman and shavers...look up there KO ratio before all of them fought Ali.
And being big doesnt make you any greater so what if theyre giants weve seen wlad get beat by bums..he wouldnt survive in that division during the 60 70 and 80s...ali did it for over twenty years ****head
Yes, their KO ratios back up your argument that these guys had ability.
Yet Wlad is just a big guy who got beat by bums. Never mind that Wlad's KO ratio is actually done in a different manner then those guys you mentioned. He actually dominates his guys as a Technical Boxer first before they eventually get TKO'd or throw in the towel. Ali would actually be dealing with a 6'7 Boxer, not a come forward bruiser with a Ko ratio who's weakness is guys with movement.

I was born in Easton PA and started boxng there when I was young. I still live nearby and see alot of larrys family members at shows..one thing everyone knowsis larry is really sour that towards ali. Larry was a great champ that couldnt get out of his shadow and after he beat ali people hated him even more. Larry learned from Ali he has pictures of him all over his gymComment

This is boxing, and in boxing its about who was the most skills...Ali outskills wlad
If hes old and cant move wlad puts it on him but a prime ali is too fastComment

They are considered small. Ali had height and weight advantage against most of his opponents. Against Wlad he would look like a midgetComment
