i think a big , strong guy who is a pressure fighter and can take his punches would give floyd trouble.

someone who will take 4 to land 1 and just keep the pressure on him for all 12 rounds.

someone who is much bigger and stronger that can wear him down.

someone who will just keep on throwing no matter if it lands or not or no matter where it lands , be it the arms , the shoulders , top of the head , etc.

someone like margarito several years ago.

dont think so at least not where Floyd is concerned and here's why:

Margarito could throw punches all day long but if they dont land they dont count for much. Mayweather is too good defensively to get hit by even the Margarito that whooped Cotto(and that was the best Margarito I have witnessed to date). And Mayweather is not only well conditioned but one of the best conditioned athletes in the world. It's about ring smarts and having the variety of tools and abilities to make it count against a fighter like Floyd.

Regarding Ortiz, outside of a crazed maniacal intensity I saw the same Ortiz that I have always seen vs Berto. He looked really good in spots and not so good in other spots. Personally his win over Berto had as much to do with what he did as what Berto didnt do. Berto was inactive coming into the fight,much like Tim Bradley, and fought ****** just like he did against Collazo. Berto tried to muscle and power Ortiz out of there but found out that sometimes that plan backfires on you.

Personally I think Ortiz vs Mayweather will be a far less entertaining match and by about the 5th or 6th round it will be obvious that Ortiz will have to come up with a stoppage to win this fight. Sounds like Im a Floyd Fan but really I'm just being realistic.

Maidana would never in 100 years ever even hit Floyd. He throws wide and telegraphs ever punch he throws. That's a counter puncher's dream. Floyd will see how he got dropped in the 1st round vs Khan and just step in the pocket and touch him up to the body.
