Unfortunately, he does not base his game behind an authoratative jab.

He uses it as more of a range-finder.

He has the style, and he has the punch, but you are right, the fact that he does not fight behind his jab will cost him in this fight.

Ortiz needs to seriously bring it, like he did against Berto, but with smart consistant pressure. Ortiz needs to be fanatical about turning this into a fight, forget boxing Mayweather, that wont work.

Smart consistant pressure, force Mayweather to continually adjust, keep him on the back foot but fight smart (jab required here), try to keep him unsettled.

He needs to force Mayweather to fight, not allow him too.

If Mayweather likes to get people interested in his fight then he should fight the pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao. The whole world can't hardly wait to watch Manny Pacquiao giving Floyd Mayweather Jr. a good beating.
Is it a nice day today? in your little world?

        Garcia is 100% correct.

Constant, consistant, pressure..... is the key to beating Mayweather.

Its just easier said than done, thats all

Also, you have to plan to your fighters strengths, and away from your opponents strengths. Danny Garcia is not going to turn Ortiz into a boxing master within the next few weeks.

Its good to see finally boxing fans not bein bias to 1 race or 1 fighter, but instead admit da truth dat Money May is the greatest or one of da greatest defensive fighters ever! The man can talk all he wants, he backs it up and consistently beats top level competition! After he smashes on Ortiz than PacRoid than he retires as da best fighter to go undefeated and in the Hall of Fame!

For ANYONE Who Will Listen, Ortiz KNOCKS OUT Mayweather!

Forget what transpired in Maidana's fight with Ortiz.... Ortiz beat hell out of Berto, and Floyd DOES NOT like getting hit; ask Judah, ask Dela Hoya, ask Mosley. Judah and Mosley nearly knocked Floyd out, and most felt Dela Hoya beat Mayweather; in fact Floyd felt that way too, walking away from a $25M payday for a rematch with Oscar. Ortiz, power in both hands, riding a big high after train-wrecking Berto, AND on Mexican Independence Day, will be up, running on all cyclinders, and although Floyd may look good for awhie, jabbing, moving, countering, HE'S GONNA GET CAUGHT, and that's when the Mayweather Gravy Train gets derailed, and that "0" goes away. Floyd has hand-picked the wrong guy. It will not go well for Runaway Floyd. Uncle Roger and Floyd Sr. will be throwing hooks in the ring following as pandamonium breaks loose, after "Money" gets knocked out. If you ever wanted to gamble $500 on a long shot, put $500 on Ortiz with 8-1 odds in favor of Floyd.... then take home $4000, when they carry Floyd back to he shower. Call me crazy. I've seen a lot of fights over the years, and there's something about this fight that tells me.... this WILL be a shocker! Pacquaio and Khan will not get their shot.

Ortiz definitely has to go out on Mayweather
like he did against Berto for his best chance at winning.

CAN ANYONE IMAGINE ORTIZ BEATING MAYWEATHER
ANY OTHER WAY? Please, the only other way would
be to out box him = Impossible.

His best chances at Mayweather is EXTREME PRESSURE.
He has to rought up Mayweather. REALLY be forceful with
him. He has to stay on him and throw powerful punches.
He has to hope for a knockout.

IF he wants to win by points he better land strong punches
and hope to intimidate Mayweather and kill is offense with his
very own offense. Impose his large size.

                  HE CANNOT LET HIM BREATHE.

Most importantly, he cannot tire out. He better be ready
to throw punches like crazy for 12 rounds. IF he tires out
Mayweather will pick him apart easily.

That to me is how Ortiz stands his best chance.

With all this said, I hope Mayweather takes the win
and hope he can handle Ortiz's pressure and power.

By the way, I do not believe Berto is a same fighters as
                  Alexander.

Berto actually has POWER. If it would of been Ortiz
vs Alexander, the way Ortiz came out, Alexander would
of not been able to throw ANY punch to hurt Victor.

Watch Alexander vs Mattysse. Did those punches look
                  like they hurt Lucas?

I think Mayweather will win, but Garcia is right: the way he fought Berto is his best chance.

Either Ortiz catches Floyd early, or he gets clearly beaten, losing a wide UD or late round TKO.

If he tries to box Floyd, he will win 1 or maybe 2 rounds before being figured out. His best chance is to go for a KO before Floyd has figured him out and timed him. It probably won't work, but Victor's main advantages are strength and power. He is nowhere near as skillful, he's easy to hit, shows little/zero adaptability and is not he type to turn things around in the championship rounds.

Going for an early KO probably won't work, but it's his best chance.

This fight could go either way. This is a real challenge and Mayweather is not playing any games. He did not pick an easy boxer. This is going be an extremely rough fight.

He is not trying to fool anybody by picking an easy boxer to get in the ring with.

Ortiz is no loser. He is left handed, and that might surprise the brilliant Mayweather.
                      Who knows right?

Well, I hope the best man wins. I personally, would love for Mayweather to win.
If Victor wins, than I will be happy also since I am from Mexico. Good fight. Good luck to them both.
