That is exactly how he HAS to fight vs Mayweather. Let's look at the reality here. Mayweather is about as a complete fighter as you will find in boxing. Ortiz can't stand outside and box with him, he can't counter him because Floyd won't come forward so what is he to do?

The only thing he can do, pressure Mayweather the way he did Berto, get inside and make this as rough of a fight as he possibly can. There's no way Ortiz can match Floyd's jab and skill from the outside, he will get picked apart.

Ortiz is stronger than Mayweather and needs to use his aggressiveness and size, especially on the inside with those powerful hooks and upper cuts coming from the right hand as a left handed fighter.

That is why Garcia is right...
        agree good post man

If Ortiz loses he will have lost against the p4p number 1b so he can easily come back. And when did mayweather all of a sudden become this One punch knockout artist! Vic has a great chance to shock errvry one!

The key phrase is "to go all out on Floyd." But Victor has to move around, bob and weave to set up those wicked hooks. Otherwise if he doesn't, he will be countered all night long and Floyd will use Victors head as a speed bag. However, Victor needs to take that same plan he had on Berto and take it 3 levels up from that with his aggression against Floyd overlooking him for Manny. and only then Victor will have a chance in giving Floyd his first loss.

good point. as big as the pacquiao fight is, one can easily see how floyd could get caught looking past ortiz to manny. this would be a huge mistake. this is the biggest fight of ortiz's career and he's approaching it that way. it would best serve floyd to do the same.

like ortiz said: "he's not fighting manny pacquiao next, he's fighting me...victor ortiz..also known as "vicious!"

If Ortiz doesn't win, I bet he's gonna at least put Floyd down or wobble him. So you better at least expect a few scares, *****s. Cuz Floydy ain't staying on the safe side and milking out an easy win this time! He gonna have to fight tooth and nail for this one.

And thats why I say: thank heavens for Victor Ortiz! He's making the ww division better.
