What's With This New Politically Correct Mayweather?

I do not think it is applicable in the same way. And, as BOb Arum points out, Mexicans and PR's purchase ppv's in large numbers when their own is fighting. Why do you think they always talk of the "mexican and pr" ribalry or why top rank deals with them. Lowersalaries and higher purchases.Comment

You guys can't be satisfied. When Floyd is playing the bad guy, yall don't like him, when he's nice, yall complain he's being niceComment

Listen, I'm not going to get too technical but google "blackface" and you will see what Big Dunn is trying to say.... You know this already, but I'll confirm it for you...
IMO, I think this country has grown a lot since the early 1900's, but unfortunately there's always going to be a few bad apples on the tree...
That's way off topic, anyway, the point of the thread is there's nothing wrong with Mayweather defeating his opponents mentally before they even get in the ring. That's the oldest trick in the book. Instead, Mayweather is taking a more politically correct approach and getting away from his normal game plan. IMO, Mayweather will always be damned in the eyes of the media and some fans. There's no getting around it, so why try to please them. If you're doing something out of the kindness of your heart because that's who you are, so be it. But don't do it thinking you're gonna be praised and loved, especially by someone who already has labeled you.. My next point was Tyson began being soft towards the end of his career and we see what happen. I think you understand the point im trying to make.
Now on the other hand, I'm not advocating what Mayweather has "allegedly" done in his personal life, nor do I advocate people being bully's, acting like thugs or animals. That's why I said there's a time and place for everything.
i don't really care about your perceptions of white people.
whatever happened to tyson happened to tyson...it doesn't apply to floyd. besides pre-fight hype is overrated so i don't know why some people dwell so much on that. if floyd want to change his approach of the game let him be. who cares if he tones down on his ****talking? as long as he does his job inside the ring that's all that matters. what's wrong is when he hypes himself up before the fight but comes up short during the actual fight. he'll get all sorts of criticisms from media and fans for that.Comment

Tyson got his ass whooped because of Tyson. Not nobody else.Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being a nice guy and not acting like an animal, but I feel like Mayweather is being to politically correct and soft as of lately...
It would be one thing, if people actually appreciated him for trying to be this nice guy. But the media and some fans already have their mind made up about Mayweather anyway, so **** em... I want the pre-fight Gatti, hungry, and ****y Mayweather back...
I feel like there's a time and place for everything, but I don't want to see Mayweather turn into Tyson. Meaning, once Tyson tried being this politically correct fighter, he started getting his ass whooped...
Feel free to flame away, I'm just calling it how I see it...
Floyd doesn't party, booze, coke or **** all kinds of chicks like Tyson did.
Don't be surprised if Floyd puts Ortiz on his butt once in the fight ala Marquez if he gets over confident.Comment

Hopefully to set up fans.. If he turns heel again half way through this promotional build up.. Like react at some point to something Ortiz does/says then turn fully into "Money Mayweather" mode.. It would be epic and a great promotional tactic. Praying he does this.Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being a nice guy and not acting like an animal, but I feel like Mayweather is being to politically correct and soft as of lately...

riight. keep acting as if floyd didn't bring this upon himself. floyd has complained about america not rooting for him. he thinks his trash talking is the culprit. thus, this political correctness nonsense this ts is bringing up here.
we all know why america is not rooting for floyd. there are a lot of reasons. one can't be fixed. and i don't want to mention it here.

Mayweather is a master manipulator... He's also great for reality T.V. but only in small doses like 24/7.This is always Mayweather's Act.
He acts very polite and respectful towards his opponent and promoters in the beginning as soon as the fight is signed and during the press conferences.
Then 24/7 comes out and he is an animal, disrespects everyone
Then after the fight he is back to being polite and respectful (unless Merchant gets under his skin)
He knows how to work the system, I give him that.Comment
