I like both fighters. Both are good warriors in their own right. However, even before their first bout, I have been saying that Margarito's style is a bad match up for Cotto. If he can't hurt Marg in the first few rounds, then it will be Cotto's demise in the late rounds.

I simply can't see any reason to believe that the rematch would be different. Cotto is always open for those damn uppercuts and body shots.

Margarito, just like on the first fight won't have any respect for Cotto's punches, he will be on an incessant attack against Cotto. His uppercuts and body punches will find its mark with regularity.

However, if his trainer can teach him some quick lateral movements and side to side head movements then I would give Cotto a fair chance against Margarito. I hope they really plug those loopholes in his defense.

Cotto doesn't have to clinch if it isn't his style to do so.

If Cotto wants to win he needs to throw straight combinations upstairs and use lateral movement. It would be foolish for Cotto to trade with Marg cuz his face cuts like paper.

He needs to copy the Pacquiao blueprint to beat Marg. He uses his feet and didn't clinch a single time. Clinching is bad boxing.

          War Miguel!
it's this simple. if cotto can't stop marg's forward progress in the form of tying him up, turning him and landing and is still unable to evade the upper's ... it's probably the same fate. if cotto can correct these mistakes then it's a hard fought UD for cotto.

Margo's style has broken his body down over the years. You can see him get clearly hurt when he gets hit on the body and all that smiling he does now indicates that he is getting hurt.

Going to his body is the way to go cause he has a good chin and stamina

My uncle, who is 100% Boriqua told me that Margarito was going to walk Cotto down & stop him.He was right. But when he found out that Margariot was caught loading up his gloves,he lost all respect for him.

Cotto will come out, box early, be up on the scorecards, but by round 3 or 4, Margarito will have already gotten to Cotto.....

Cotto will still try and be competitive, land some good shots, but by round 8 or 9, I see Margarito over powering, hurting, and bringing back ghosts of Cotto's past...

Margarito by 9 or 10 round TKO......

I really believe Margarito has loaded gloves. Now without loaded gloves cotto wont have nothing to be scared of. He is gonna walk through Margarito and stop him in the later rounds.

                  Easy win for cotto
style. if cotto doesnt think hes hurting you and you keep coming like marg, cotto loses confidence QUICK and gets on his bike...loaded gloves or not

I see it the same way and I think this time, Marg pressures him even more. In the first fight Cotto still was seen as this powerful puncher, at 154 Marg will have less respect for his shots and walk him down.

I expect Marg to jump on him from the get go.

Cotto landed alot but he didnt land any "Cotto Shots". People overrated those shots. He never commited to any of those punches. Cotto is one of those guys who like to dig in with his shots and punch through you. He goes forward when he punches. Against Margarito he never dug in or punch through him because he was always ready to be on the move so Margarito couldnt come back.

Thats a different shot to take. Thats why Cotto doesnt derail him but Mosley stops him because Mosley commited to every single punch. He was goring through Margarito and instead of running or moving like Cotto, he would hold. If Cotto knew how to do that then he may have won but I think Margarito had plaster so he probably still wouldve lost but he wouldve had a better shot
