I wish Mexicans were backing up Salido more, if they were Salido wouldn't have to go to Puerto Rico again. It sucks that because Juanma probably has a bigger fan-base that Salido the champion has to go fight in Juanma's backyard again.

He is opne to give him a remtach but the fight with Garcia will give him a lot more money so i tend to think that he will take that offer.
Mikey's young, but he's really good. He looks like he has a bright future ahead of him. If Jon can get past him, I'd be impressed.

I agree, if Lopez doesn't fight Salido next, he has to stay busy against high quality opponents. I'd probably prefer a fight against Burgos.

Did you see Hasegawa-Burgos? I didn't. I read it was a good fight. Maybe I'll watch it later on Youtube....

Can't blame the man for wanting to make the money while he can, bro. It's a tough game with a short life-span. Fighters like Salido sc**** by their whole careers just to get a shot at the title. If a man's strong enough, and lucky enough, to make it to the top, he should make the most of it. Orlando earned that right.

Like JuanMa himself has said many times, boxing is a business....

he said it plenty of times when he fought at 122 when talking about caballero...that caballero was a big fat zero when it came to making money...so i don't see the problem with salido making money against average/below average opponents....believe me if this fight would have been won by juanma by any controversial way,he wouldn't give salido a rematch

I've defended JuanMa in the past. Some have called him a coward and a "ducker." I disagree. Lopez has guts. I think he proved that with Mtagwa and Marquez. He didn't look like a wimp against Salido, either, even though he lost. JuanMa's thing is he wants to be the next "Tito," so he's extremely conscious of where his career is headed. He ran into an unexpected wall with Orlando.

I have more empathy for a guy like "Siri." He's as blue-collar as they come. Not taking anything away from JuanMa, but he's the fair-haired child. He was golden...and still can be. Salido came up hard. He earned everything he's got. You have to respect that. That man can fight whomever he wants, whenever he wants, as far as I'm concerned.
