I hope Salido fights someone else before fighting Juanma again just so PRBOXINGCOTTO can cry about it. He is one of the special fans here that doesn't give credit when a fighter beats a rican boxer.

Well, i read somewhere that Barros is going to fight Miguel Garcia in US. So those 2 are out of the question for Salido.

If "Siri" fights JuanMa right away, and loses, his earning possibilities plummet. As champ, he's master of his own destiny. Without a belt, Salido's just another fighter.
This right here. You guys have to try using your noggin a least a little bit.

Some of you guys act as if you have no bills of your own or as if no interest exists in maximizing your own personal earnings. It's obviously a calculated risk Salido would take with an understanding of the consequences in losing that belt. On the other hand he might just be making statements that will help his posturing in the upcoming negotiations.

What Salido is not doing is ducking JuanMa. In the end I think Siri does fight JuanMa next in fear of losing that payday. There could only be so much patience coming from JuanMa and his handlers. They are in a hurry to get back on track and that could lead his camp to focus, sooner than later, on the inevitable shift to a higher weight class and new opponents.

I was wondering if Mikey Garcia might be a good next opponent for Salido. It would be a great fight, but it's really risky for Orlando. And I'm not sure that Garcia's trainer, his brother Robert, thinks Miguel is ready yet for that kind of fight. "Siri" is a tough dude. The twenty-three year old Mikey would be in for a rough night, even if he wins.

If Garcia and Barros are going to fight, I don't think it's been made official. If it happens, though, it should be a good fight. I'm watching Mikey more closely nowadays. He looks like he's going to be a force at 126 and beyond.

I don't know if it's offical, maybe not yet. I heard on tv that Barros was offered that fight on the US and it's considering. The other possibility it's the rematch with Pelenchin and Barros doesn't want that fight because he said on an interview that he felt he won that fight. He is opne to give him a remtach but the fight with Garcia will give him a lot more money so i tend to think that he will take that offer.

Agreed, the Lopez rematch is a "limited time offer." Yet another consideration for Salido.

As for the ducking issue...if I had a dime for every time someone is accused of ducking on these boards.... SMH

For those that don't speak Spanish:

                    (Briefly)

Salido: "I'll fight JuanMa whenever and wherever."

Lopez: "Let's make the fight happen as soon as possible."
