The ref saved Lopez from getting brain damaged against Salido. Lopez was GROGGY even during the post interview, that is how hurt he was. And Lopez never gave Mtagwa a rematch. Mtagwa knocked out Lopez that night. Just because the ref let it go doesn't mean Lopez's neurological system didn't feel the shock of being punished.

Only a SICK *** would have wanted Lopez to take even more punishment and have the SLAUGHTER continue!!! Any Puerto Rican who wanted that fight to continue is NOT A FAN OF Lopez!! Good for Salido calling the shots. The Puerto Rican promoters were trying to make all the decisions about the rematch including staging it in Puerto Rico without even seeing if that is what Salido wanted. What arrogant priks. Let Lopez go to Mexico to get the KO loss he has been waiting for.

Did you watch that fight? or are you one of those that beleive the last 3 rounds are gonna win you a fight after being behind nearly every round before that?

I don't have the best memory in the world but I felt most of the rounds were competitive. I did not feel like Lopez was schooling Mtagwa like you are trying to claim. Maybe I have to go back and watch the fight but from what I remember it was a close hard-fought fight for Juanma and it wasn't lopsided points wise like you make it out to be.

if he is alluding to JuanMa dominating Mtagwa then we should be able to say the same that Salido was dominating JuanMa in the same manner. The rounds to me were competitive in both fights but you could see one fighter getting the better of the other. One man finished the show the other had to hold on for dear life to get the win

gonzalez, lopez, or marquez. i'd love to see salido take on any of those guys. marquez is on his way out and gonzalez has the other belt, but it's funny to think juanma came to check out the weigh-ins/fight and at the end of the night, salido is not sure about giving the rematch to him just yet. wonder if scumbag arum can do anything to stop salido from facing someone else besides juanma, but doubt it.
