floyd mayweather at wembley? i thought i'd never hear of that. kind of agree with him on the "if the tables were turned" on the pac/may issue, but man, they eventually have to fight soon. hopefully it happens next year.Comment

Has everyone lost his wits? Or do they suddenly allow Seint Mayweather to addle their brains? MannyP had his first 25 fights in the Phillipines when he fought for his 1st World title, and about 33 of his first 35 in the Far East, at a very low weight at a time when nobody bothered to even look up the results of anyone less than featherweight, certainly in the Far East,and in the USA not even them. He came to the US for the 1st time at about age 22 and beat Ledwaba for the Title, a VERY big fight, and made a big name for himself.
A good while BEFORE he fought Barrera, Larry Merchant was talking about how good Barrera and Morales were, and in mentioning Barrera, said that if Barrera wanted to be considered the best at featherweight, he'd have to "go through" this kid Manny Pacquiao who has been knocking everyone over. That Barrera would have to overcome Manny's deadly straight left. He also said that MannyP. was thinking of skipping a weight and coming straight up to featherweight for a major fight. This was the 1st time I'd ever heard of MannyP.
So, although Saint Mayweather-the suddenly devoted father,-he should better concentrate on being a devoted husband as well- says that he suddenly appeared from nowhere, this is as untrue as just about everything else he says.Comment

Why bother, Fighters try all sorts of trainers. Kahn, like nearly everybody coming from abroad try one or more trainers before they settle with the one they feel is best for them.
He was only with Mayweather for a couple of months, I remember it, but don't recall if he had any fights whilst with him. I don't care for Kahn as a person, but he showed good sense in leaving Mayweather pretty quickly.
So what's the difference to anybody. Hopkins was with Bouie Fisher for many years and then changed to Richardson, and nobody syas anything, not even that Hopkins owes all his skill to Fisher, who just died last month.
Either you're a disciple of Saint Mayweather or just plain DUMB. Both actually mean the same thing.Comment
