You seem like a honest commentator, unfortunately, your knowledge appears limited and you've picked up half-truths along the way. Those sins of ducking you've attributed to Floyd aren't really true. They are myths. Here's the real truth:

Mosley: It was actually Floyd chasing to fight Mosley when Mosley was at his so-called prime and Mosley was the one giving all sorts of excuses, including a loosening teeth, or that Mayweather was not a PPV attraction, to avoid the fight; in fact, Larry Merchant pressed Mosley after he whipped Vargas (during the post-fight interview) to accept the Mayweather challenge and Mosley still repeatedly refused, saying he had a vacation already planned, and that Mayweather should fight Winky.

Bottom line, Mosley avoided Mayweather for a long time until he picked up his confidence again (IMO) after having whooped Margarito. Then he seized on the moment after Mayweather's domination of Marquez (?) to jump in the ring and call out Mayweather.

Margarito: While still under Arum, Mayweather saw the golden chance to fight Oscar DLH for a lot more money but Arum refused, instead he wanted Mayweather to fight Margarito for $8mil. Instead of remaining Arum's slave, Mayweather took the opportunity to leave as he fought Baldomir (who was in fact more dangerous and rated way above Margarito at the time) for slightly more money as well as for the Lineal Champion title which Margarito did not have, and won. Arguably thereafter, more opportunities opened to Mayweather while essentially promoting himself.

Before you mention Cotto and in case you missed it, Bob Arum actually declined to match him with Mayweather when they were both under him, saying bluntly that Cotto was not ready for Mayweather.

And of course, Mayweather was no longer going to get any meaningful TopRank fighter once he opted to leave Arum, a development I believe still plays a part in the match-making strategies of Bob Arum till this day.

Let's hope that strategy changes for the better soon and we get to see particularly Mayweather-Pacquiao pretty soon.

I, for one, would like to still see Mayweather-Cotto and Mayweather-Martinez at some point. I think it's too early to insinuate Mayweather is avoiding Martinez who is currently campaigning at 160. Hopefully they can meet at 154 tops, as Mayweather has not been recorded to have weighed more than 150, even when he fought and beat Oscar for Oscar's 154 lb title.

I think one should cut this Mayweather guy some slack.

The funny thing is anyone of this fighters who don't agree to this guy's testing will be called roids users by the Floydies. JMM first fight at WW is against him. JMM jump up in weight and he never saw him fight before in WW but yet he did not asked him to do a OST. But when it was Pacs turn to fight him he started asking for OST. Only ignorant boxing fans can't see that it was a ducking move what he is doing to Pac. I hope any fighter that will fight him next who has a little leverage will not agree to the OST testing. But then again he only going to keep coming after the Up and comer fighters who has something to prove and has no leverage to make negotiations.

It's funny that people are saying Floyd is using the drug test to duck a fight with Pacquiao. When he first put that offer on the table how could he predict that Manny would have a phobia of needles?

If it was some argument over the price or him being extremely difficult over the venu and what not sure. But a drug test, no one in their right mind would think a fighter would turn down such a huge check over a needle in their arm.

pacquaio was never special wtf. he only became the lineal flyweight title holder as a 19 year old without an amteur background. He only defeated ledwaba with 2 weeks notice and make everyone sit up and take notice. i think the mayweathers are delusional. they only see what they want to see.
