I've discounted them for both fighters.

Mayweather uses the jab more offensively than Pacquiao because Pacquiao uses it as a distraction doesn't mean it isn't an effective punch for Mayweather. A good jab can stop a fighter in his tracks. You're taking away something in Mayweathers arsenal just because Pacquiao hasn't got the ability to use it the same way.

If fighter x needs to throw an uncommited jab in order to land another type of punch, fighter x obviously has thrown 2 punches. One of which missed, one of which landed. That would be a 50% connect rate. You can't just say "oh he landed the second one, therefore the first one missing doesn't count. 100% accuracy Pacmen he de best!"

Own3d seems to thing having a good jab will make the opponent more defensive and just put their guard up.
