I guess jab's count after all.

        /thread.

I remember Jim Lampley commentating on this before Mayweather-Ortiz.

That showed % of punched landed to % of punches received.

This thread was just focused on % of power punches landed.

So once again, I guess jabs don't count?

Why do you think compubox has a seperate category for jabs?

I told you countless times that will not determine accuracy. That chart rightly takes into account total connect percentage.

I said it countless times before but for your benefit I will say it again.

First, a jab is not always thrown to land (a scoring punch). It can be used as a range finder, to open up an opponents guard, apply pressure.

An offensive fighter is much more likely to use his jab to create openings, by feints, moving the guard and blinding the opponent with the jab than a fighter that is a counter puncher. Now these punches do there job but compubox counts them as a fail.

Also a southpaw fighter will be mostly up against a fighter with the opposite stance, so jab hands are up against each other and cancel each other out.

An orthadox fighter will mostly be up against a fighter with the same stance so the jab will be able to find it's target.

Wrong, and the total connect percentage is misleading.
