I'm just trying to figure out why in the history of boxing, shorter guys aren't normally that strong when they move up?

If Pacquiao fights guys like Mayweather, Martinez, and Bradley, i'm pretty sure he'd get his ass beat.
dont really wanna argue that maywaether **** right now coz the every sensible person knows who ducked who ..,,martinez cant make pac's peak weight ..if he can , pac beats him...pac stops bradley in the late rounds in a competitive fight.....

hopkins (finished his run at MW as a tone the fight down tactician, and now that his legs are completely gone he's standing a bit more and fighting. he also looks worlds away physically from the MW hopkins)
toney - wouldn't call him a real puncher at any weight, but he could dish out and sustain punishment all the way from MW to HW, which is just remarkable.

Pacquiao has only stopped , cotto and Oscar, and didn't stop Marg, Mosely and Clottey.
50% isn't great.

Guillermo Jones is one of the best examples I can come up with. Believe it or not he used to fight at 147lbs, and was brittle as hell there.
But then he went to Cruiserweight and became a titlist...he still is too, even though he has only defended the title twice in three years, LOL.
going up in weight isnt as difficult as people make it, depending on the type of fighter you are. Some people put on weight better than others, and some people have a better style suited for higher weights than others. hint: If you rely on your size to win fights in your style, going up in weight usually doesnt work too well.

So he has titles in 3 divisions.
