The only fighter I can recall getting faster, stronger, more powerful as they age and move up in weight is Manny Pacquiao. When Floyd says its unusual, he aint lying

        donaire

armstrong (not really a TNT puncher, but a strong guy with a ton of knockouts at fw, ww, and lw.

        pacquiao

        haye

hopkins (finished his run at MW as a tone the fight down tactician, and now that his legs are completely gone he's standing a bit more and fighting. he also looks worlds away physically from the MW hopkins)

toney - wouldn't call him a real puncher at any weight, but he could dish out and sustain punishment all the way from MW to HW, which is just remarkable.

If Pacquiao fought guys like Forresst and Wright he'd get his ass beat too. But he's fighting the Cotto's and Margarito's, who an old Shane fought to a draw at worst against a prime undefeated Cotto, and knocked out a fresher Margarito in 9 rounds.

If Pacquiao fights guys like Mayweather, Martinez, and Bradley, i'm pretty sure he'd get his ass beat.

you mean when he moved up to WW from his reign at LW to beat oscar de la hoya and make his way into the top spot p4p?

yeah man, shane got his ass beat when he moved up in weight, let me tell you...

shane got his ass beat when guys had his number
                  forrest
                  wright
                  cotto

I'm trying to keep this thread Pac free, so please don't mention pacman.
Considering what the thread topic is about, that's impossible. Pac went from 106 to 150 while keeping his power, so he has to be mentioned.

I don't remember Hopkins KOing guys as he went up in weight. He wins the decision, but he's not laying guys flat...
