I think you may be suffering ******ation. How does Murray calling out Rios have anything to do with him being a hypejob. I mean, literally, how are the two things even connected?
Because he was seriously unworthy while at the same time being puffed up into delusions of grandeur by FWP. Murray was a complete hypejob. Thankfully nipped in the bud before he got that undeserved title shot.
Come on fellow Brits, admit it, we all hyped John Murray to be the next Roberto Duran.

Yeah, we all got it wrong on this one. I was certain Murray was going to be the first man to stop Mayweather. Oh well.
But forgetting about Murray for a minute, have you ever heard of a fighter named Dereck Chisora? I'm telling you man, this cat is Tyson, Ali and Holmes all rolled into one. He's gonna obliterate both Klitsckho's, I promise you that!

Bro, you're so much better than reheated !! Anorak.
That's him in there, where's you?
Reach down deep and find the Diggler again.
You only have to look at recent posts on this forum to see how even fairly close followers of the sport were being taken in. Easy to see how it would've snowballed had Murray's win-streak had somehow miraculously continued beyond tonight. Thank goodness Kevin flopped him and real talent got the W while hypejobs took a L tonight.

John Murray was never a hypejob. Sky backed him because he's a ticket seller in Manchester and had an all-action style, and, obviously, because selling fighters like Murray is their job, but at no point were the boxing public outside of Manchester fooled. He got practically no mainstream media coverage, and I don't remember ever reading a thread or comment page on a boxing website claiming how he was the next big thing on the world stage or something. As for him being undeserving of a title shot, welcome to modern boxing. Even so, he was a damn sight more deserving than Matthew Hatton, who fought for a title live on HBO!
"longest undefeated streak in british boxing", "the next ricky hatton", "undefeated".
Just admit it man the guy was a British hypejob who had ABC rankings but did jack to earn them, People like KHan cant get a line in a newspaper because hypejobs like murray get all the limelight.
He did not have the longest undefeated streak in British boxing.
I don't recall anyone ever calling him the next Ricky Hatton.
Tonight I walked into my local pub and asked whether they were gonna show the boxing. They asked who was fighting and I told them. Faces were blank all round. Murray was not a hypejob, he was a virtual unkown in his own country.
