i remeber murray winning a close verdict against al hamidi , i new he was garbage after that fight , he was also wobbled against a non puncher in his last fight, bellew to beat mckenzie on points 11/4 and mitchell to beat murray 11/8 nice double courtesy of the british bookies ignorace ! but murrays never been hyped , if anything he was underated with hennessy , never fought on sky , its only his last 2 fights under warren, hes had hype so people new he was ! great fight but mitchell doesnt have a chin to handle a world class puncher !

LOL! John Murray was touted as the next big thing out of the UK, Even the bookmakers in the UK had Murray as the favourite to beat Mitchell, A guy that was mauled by Katsidis and hadnt fought in 14 months!

I think you folks are suffering amnesia this is the guy that was calling out Rios! And to answer a question, British people hype the wrong fighters to much and the ones that deserve it never get it.

Even Mitchell was a hypejob until he got blown away by Katsidis and now Murray gets blown away by Mitchell. Murray never even attempted to raise the level of competition before tonight he was happy to fight journeyman for easy paydays and it all came back to haunt him tonight.

Not sure what papers your buying, but the buildup to the Khan fight has been given a full page spread in the sun/mirror/star the last few days for the buildup to the Judah fight. The only buildup I've seen printed in the papers in relation to the Mitchell/Murray fight has been today in the Mirror, which is a regular, weekly column.

John Murray is a domestic level fighter that made the longest running undefeated record in British boxing, He did that being fed a string of journeyman like the famous Yousef Al Hamidi a Syrian political asylum seeker and full time ice cream van driver who outboxed him!

Murray hype then goes overboard and he couldnt even beat a domestic fighter coming off a loss who hadnt fought for 14 months and yet was calling out Rios and Khan. He was even touted as the next Ricky Hatton!
